This one is a big deal to newsies and nobody else . . . In reality, we're talking about a corporate exec with no roots in this town, who went to some cocktail parties, didn't do much to turnaround a sinking ship and then split.
Already there are many insights from people who feel like they could have done a better job or had some kind of advice for this lady . . . But the reality of rats abandoning a sinking ship is the real story. Moreover, most legacy media outlets are dealing with their own demise and/or changing reality amid the era of social media media domination and a cruel long tail for most endeavors.
Check the roundup and you decide:
Star publisher Mi-Ai Parrish takes job in Arizona
KC Star publisher Mi-Ai Parrish leaving to take same post at The Arizon Republic
Star publisher leaving the paper
Also, kudos to the guy who often posts the McClatchy stock price downward spiral now circling at about a dollar.
Developing . . .
A DOLLAR?
ReplyDeleteThat's way overpriced.
Here ya go champ.
ReplyDeleteStar publisher Mi-Ai Parrish takes job in Arizona
Who's going to become the new CKMO Chief of Propoganda
ReplyDeleteOh Yah I love Kansas City so much I consider it my new home oh yah I love Kansas City so much............
ReplyDeleteShe's kind of a nonentity.
ReplyDeleteBut that means she'll fit in well at Gannett.
Yes we'll all remember her for her not-so-veiled threat to move the press out of KCMO if the newspaper didn’t get its tax break. “We would like to stay,” Parish whined. “(But) the economics have to be there.”
ReplyDeleteYou gonna run over to The Star and submit your application Tony?
ReplyDeleteAgain?
LOLZ.
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles had their Yoko.
Woody Allen had his Soon Yi.
And the Star has its Mi-Ai.
Your welcome for the tip champ.
ReplyDeleteHer local roots shouldn't be an issues. What does cause me concern is that she did not do much to strengthen the paper. What I notice is that the Kansas City Star became worse under her reign.
ReplyDeleteThere's likely much back-slapping and high-fiving going around the newsroom today.
ReplyDeleteYou ever try and work for one of these Dragon Lady broads before?
A nightmare, let me tell you.
Mi-Ai? Wasn’t that the village in Vietnam where all those people were massacred?
ReplyDeleteHere's your reality check Star bitches. Not even Steve Jobs could've saved Betamax. Nobody wants outdated technology.
ReplyDeleteNo; that happened in a village in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll bring back the wildman from his job selling cars in Topeka???
ReplyDeleteLOL @ 5:04 - Very nice Yoko reference.
ReplyDeleteSo the broad is leaving. Big fucking deal. The paper is ass wipe anyway. Who cares.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteFinally, a bit of wisdom around here. She was a nothing for KC and your average person on the street wouldn't know or care about her.
Nice one @ 5:41
Arizona ... home of millions of retirees who find soy ink comforting.
ReplyDeleteShe goes -- and Lewie Dikweed and the uber-lib Star editorial staff stays LOLOL!!
ReplyDeleteOver 5 years "KCStar" free now -- feels great!
McClatchy top execs all high-fiving each other she left with out them firing her and being sued for some insane reason she would have came up with.
ReplyDeleteDave nails it. I don't think there's anyone in KC who is sad to see her go. Not really a leader.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suckers!
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't she just say it.
I'd fuck her in the ass. Then cum all over her face and tits. I'd even give her a dirty sanchez as well.
ReplyDeleteDooood....it took you almost 3 hours. Get with it!
DeleteI predicted this about six months ago in my open letter to her. I'll take the credit for getting her out of town....
ReplyDeleteI liked her, she was nice.
ReplyDeleteWait until next week. MY TOP-ECHELON INSIDERS say you niggers will shit your pants.
ReplyDeleteNobody knew who this chick was, she hid inside the star building like an ice princess. They say that KC won't miss her. I think the truth is that she won't miss Kansas City either.
ReplyDeleteThey waste money pouring it into their rag "INK".
ReplyDeleteI delivered her paper to her house when she lived in Overland Park Ks. She never tipped and then demaned I porch her paper. She threw a fit when I refused. She then retaliated by taking one of my routes. Petty, entitled child.
