MUST READ!!! KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ BLAMES GUNS NOT GANGS FOR KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE SPIKE 2015!!!

In a comprehensive write-up explaining the recent uptick in homicides, Kansas City Police Chief Forté attempts to answer recent concern about the rising murder count.

Surprising . . .

KCD POLICE CHIEF FORTÉ CALLS OUT GUNS AND NOT GANGS OR DRUGS AS THE ROOT CAUSE OF SO MUCH RECENT KILLING!!!

While touting community cooperation in order to reduce crime, here are a few controversial arguments put forward by this town's top cop:

KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ: "As of this writing, Kansas City, Missouri, has had 72 homicides in 2015. At this time last year, we had 57. Last year, we experienced the lowest number of homicides in 42 years. It is discouraging we have more so far this year, but it still remains below where we have been in almost any prior year in the last four decades. And with the exception of homicides and aggravated assaults (assaults with a weapon), every other category of crime defined by the FBI is down in Kansas City so far this year. As of August 1, total crimes were down by 5 percent . . . The murders here aren’t the result of some gang or drug war. More often than not, they occur between people who get angry with each other and choose to settle their conflict with a firearm. (Sixty people have been murdered by firearms in Kansas City so far this year.) Of the 51 homicide cases so far in which detectives have determined a motive, 22 of them were the result of an argument."

What isn't noted in this blog post from the Chief is the uptick in recent murders involving children and members of the transgender community. Recent high-profile killings have shocked minority and urban communities because attacks against the innocent or the oppressed seem exceptionally callous.

While the KCPD continues to urge calm in the face of undeniably increased homicide count in Kansas City over last year, the public can't be blamed for taking notice of exceptionally violent and brutal murders.

You decide . . .

  1. Personally, I'm just glad we have a chief of police who is willing to talk about the numbers. The public information is important in helping to keep people safe. The more residents know about crime, the more likely they will help to prevent it in their own lives.

  2. Guns kill, like spoons make you fat.

Listen up indiot and chief dummy of the KCMO police.

  3. Our culture glorifies guns. These silly analogies, like 5:07's, are deliberately obtuse. For many men gun ownership is a symbol of their manhood, that seems juvenile to the rest of us.

The killings will continue, because little is easier than killing a person with a gun. That's what its made for.

    1. I gun ownership is a symbol of your manhood, then you are a fucked up individual. That is a personal problem which the individual must work out with himself. The answer is not to change the fundamental right of gun ownership established with this country.

  4. Well as always the Chief and Byron show what complete fucking idiots they are.

What the Chief fails to point out is the number of killings taking place that stolen guns are what was used.

No it's people of his own race who have no respect for anyone or even in their anger could care less if they kill an innocent child or not. No the Chief wants to run some figures out for the numskulls like Byron to bite on and to believe while those of us with common sense know just what the real issue is.

Cars don't kill people either as a rule till some idiot gets behind the wheel and starts operating it. Same line of thinking here applies to guns.

  5. I can't help but agree with Dave. The chief is shirking his responsibility here, I think the complaints about gangs represent a concern from the community. Rather than answer that concern, the chief is deflecting and using his forum to make a political point. Of course police want to take our guns. Very few people are willing to stand up for our rights.

  6. The Chief is smiling because Byron is sucking him off under the desk.

What a day for Byron. Sucking black cock while the Black Chief of Police blames black crime on guns.

  8. There is nothing substantially different about the application of firearms or the state's laws regulating firearms from last year, yet homicides are way up this year. Statistically, the ownership of guns doesn't correlate with violent crime. It's a really convenient argument that fewer guns would result in less crime, but the fact of the matter is that the public looks to the City and the City alone to address crime. The Mayor has aggressively blamed guns for Kansas City's high violent crime rate without taking any steps to solve some of the systemic problems that lead to crime. It's really a disappointment because no one is willing to have that kind of conversation in this city. It's easy for the local politicians (Democrats) to score political points by blaming guns, but reducing crime isn't why they were elected.

    1. They were elected for no reason at all, really. Other than the Mayor was elected because people who didnt know him put him on a pedestal and did no investigation into his character. The Mayor is a follower, not a leader.

  9. group think around the Pd hq, city hall and the county. They want to blame citizens and take away rights rather than doing anything different in their jobs.

  10. Actually gun laws in Missouri are more strict this year than last. I would suggest that with a 49 percent homicide clearance rate the problem is compounded by shear fucking incompetence in the chief's house. You can blame guns all you want, but virtually every other city in the USA has access to guns and are not failing at apprehending criminals. We need new blood in that police department or we are going to be living with this same culture for decades. It is time to clean from the top down and stop tolerating these lame ass excuses.

  12. Disappointing that our police chief blames guns, it's not guns, it's people, but let's don't let facts get in the way of a disagreement. Look at the numbers of the victims and the suspects in these cases, it's black lives. And if Black lives Matter then let's put the emphasis where it belongs, on the people who are committing the crimes.

Here's an example of why the Black Live Matter movement is a failure, if you don't agree with their message they want to silence the messenger......they want free speech but only if it's their free speech!

  13. How about ENFORCING laws regarding crimes committed where a firearm is used?

But NO. We have a Hood-Rat Catch & Release program that lets em go thru that arrest revolving door and right back out on the streets. Brilliant.

Gun registration, waiting periods, etc APPLY ONLY TO LEGAL GUN OWNERS. AND NOT TO CRIMINALS.

The Chief is a TOTAL FUCKTARD.

  14. Seems to me the chief is part of the problem. We have a generation of people who want to blame everyone else for their problems instead of standing up and taking responsibility.

  16. I don't own a gun and I wish nobody did. That said, millions of white people own guns and they don't kill anyone. The real answer that very few black people will admit is it is black people that are the problem, plain and simple. Look at countries in Africa that don't have access to guns. They just hack everybody with machetes. For as piece of shit as Bill Cosby is he's one of the few who will speak the truth about his own people.

  17. The fact is, I trust the chief more than all of these bottom dweller bloggers. He has done a good job fighting crime and his words are much more informed than most.

    1. Good job? What does that translate to? Being in a prominent position does equate to a good job. Identify one thing he's done a good job with? And support that conclusion with facts. Truth is, you like him. That doesn't mean he's doing a good job. Social hour is over. Show me substantive proof of his performance. You won't be able to. Besides being in the position, he's done and accomplished nothing.

  18. The problem lies in urban black culture, not the tools available to it. So Chief Fu Manchu takes the PC route and blames guns. Gutless move, but not unexpected.

  19. 6:50, he has done a good job fighting crime? Hahahahahaha. Provide your proof showing that crime of any kind has declined on his watch.

  20. yeah it's niggers pretty much, we all know it. no denying the truth. it's worth noting that of the 72 homicides 63 were niggers so that reduces the human murder count to 9! Because you wouldn't count shot dogs or possums would you?

    See, niggers ain't human!

  21. If guns are the problem why does the city spend millions on Aim4Peace? It does nothing to address guns.
Why the breathless press conferences, the most recent only a couple weeks ago, about NoVa? It doesn't address guns either.
And neither do hot spots, or make-believe community policing, or COMBAT, or any of the other long list of grand announcements or million dollar programs that are regularly supposed to address the horrendous murder rate.
When a small minority of nihilistic feral goons are able to run wild and terrorize entire neighborhoods and there is nothing heard from community "leaders" and elected officials than excuses for self-destructive behavior and distractions by making believe guns are the problem, it's not hard to see why conditions in certain parts of the city get worse and worse.
The gun laws are the same throughout KCMO, yet over 75% of the homicides in the city take place within a 50 square block are of one part of it.
You don't need an out-of-town professor to figure out the problem.
In fact, just ask the people who live in those neighborhoods.

  22. This is your deep thinking, thoughtful, respectful dialogue Tony?

    LMFAO

Not a big leap to guess your gear heads would be gun nuts.

Apply liability laws to the ownership of weapons, just like cars, and the owners that are too smart for gun locks will invest $12, or their premiums will jump big time.

You want to be a gun owner. Be a responsible one.

  25. Love the anti-gun rhetoric. Old Forte here seeking out higher loftier political office by hopping on the liberal band wagon that claims gun violence must be stopped but can't comprehend abortions well out number gun deaths.

With just a FRACTION of total guns in private hands responsible for gun deaths this is the classic lazy position of dreamer politicians. Blame the weapon because every other policy of entitlement has created this situation due to its utter failure. The root cause is not the weapon it is the VIOLENCE. Why did they commit the crime, why did they feel they could get away with it, why did they think it was okay to pull the trigger on a one year old boy, drive by a house raining bullets. Take a look in the mirror Mr Forte it is YOUR roots committing these crimes you owe them more statistical rhetoric.

  30. I am in full support of reigning in gun ownership. Limiting the number, caliber, and mag capacity of guns. Maybe even outlawing pistols.

    HOWEVER,

if the police are so supportive of gun law changes, why aren't they leading by example and turning in their guns? Cops the world over have less guns and less firepower than American cops, and yet still manage to do their job safely. I think the chief needs to quit carrying a gun if he is so supportive of gun law reform.

Perhaps if Forte would actually work in an emergency room or get off Sly's ivory tower we can solvevthe growing youth gangs in KC.METH = $$$$ for young black males

  33. It's the gangs.
Everybody in my old neighborhood had guns -- EVERYbody -- and none of them ever robbed or shot anyone.
It's a "people problem" not a weapon problem.
