KC Biz Journal: In a move to stay competitive and increase its focus, Hallmark Cards Inc. is creating three independently operated businesses from its former Hallmark North America organization.
The reality here is that breaking up the company makes it easier to sell off other sections, cut more employees and continue to downsize because social media notes and e-mails have all but replaced cards.
