Humans are predictably unreliable when it comes to predicting the future. Yael's blurb did provide some comedic relief even though that wasn't his intention.

ReplyDeleteYael forgot to mention he'd be the PR guy for some KCMO city agency. The water department would be a good fit.
Oh, and he also forgot to mention that Diuguid will still be writing about those wonderful 1960s and all the marches and the Star will still be reporting that the KC School District thinks it sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
No mention of the famous KCMO performance artist who lies on the floors of WalMarts in a body bag, but Yael's probably saving that KC success for his next hard-hitting column.

It depends on whether anything changes, if not it will be worse. In thirty years I can see surrounding areas erecting a wall around the city just like in "escape from New York".
