Dear 29th Legislative Democratic Committee Member:
This is to inform you that Governor Jay Nixon has called a Special election for November 3, 2015 to fill the State Representative from the 29th Legislative District. The nominating committee in this case is the legislative committee. This is the official call for a meeting of the nominating committee for the purpose of selecting a candidate to fill the vacancy.
The nominating meeting for the 29th Legislative Democratic Committee will be held on Sunday August 2, 2015, at 10:00 am at the Hy-Vee Food Court, 14170 E Hwy 40 Independence, Missouri 64055.

ReplyDeleteI hope some members of the media (TV especially) are reading this TKC entry. You know where (soon to be ex) State Senator Levota will be and when he will be there. The bonus that it will be in a Hy-Vee food court out in the open should only add to the circus like atmosphere.

Surprise meeting? They have two weeks to hold the meeting and all of the committee members (10) have been notified and can be there. LeVota is the chair of the committee and he is required to hold it. Don't buy into some conspiracy deal.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't for LeVota's senate seat. It is for the vacant house seat. It has been vacant since January and the governor JUST NOW called for the special election. Blame Jay Nixon for waiting so long.
