"On Thursday, the Streetcar Authority board discussed the “Respect the Rail” campaign that will roll out slowly, beginning next week, via social messaging and other strategies. Signs and slogans with the streetcar logo will proclaim, “Be Smart. Be Safe. Be Ready.”
The messages are aimed at the motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and others that will eventually interact with the streetcar vehicles on the 2.2-mile downtown route."
Thought this was pretty much a tactic to discourage criticism of the project as well ...

We'll own any streetcar supporter in a debate. They simply can't and won't respond to the fact that light rail is an obsolete technology and that bus systems are a more efficient and cost effective way of moving people.
