Kansas City Peace Rally Fair Play

Facing candidate Quinton Lucas who earned over 50% of the vote facing 5 challengers, Rev. Stephan Gordon seems optimistic that his grassroots campaign will prove competitive AND about a recent Kansas City "peace rally" comprised mostly of department and policial employees.

Here's his recent statement:

"I attended the peace rally in the area of Linwood, 31st Street, and Prospect on Saturday. It was one of the best city rallies in the 3rd District so far this year. It was a great turnout and the message was positive. I was most impressed when the Mayor stated that his office, the Police Department, and the Jackson County Prosecutor's office were working together to ensure that the citizens of Kansas City are kept safe. It is clear that our city leaders are working together to make sure that Kansas City does not end up like Ferguson and Baltimore."

  1. delusional. you cant prevent a ferguson and a group of senior citizens and city employees, police employees does not amount to well attended rally. There are over 78,000 people in the Third district - well attended in my book would be at least a 5% turnout. the city will keep fudging their success until it becomes true, if ever. and some people will continue to drink the cool aide. hope he beats quinton lucas but this declaration was unnecessary.
