    Mr. Tony,
Last week I contacted the out of state company that maintains the subscriptions for the Kansas City Star. I informed the contract employee that I no longer wanted the KC Star and would not be renewing my $403.00 yearly subscription.

The Star no longer holds lasting value for me and my family. I have had the paper since my marriage 37 years ago. My parents have subscribed for over 60 years so I actually held a Kansas City Times in my hands.

Those papers had drawings of the current sales in the downtown dress shops.

The Star has gone the way of those "patio dresses" advertised weekly in the women's section.
