Don't worry, NE denizens! Since Mike Bushnell and Bryan Stalder teamed up with long time east side activists Sherry Dejanes and Dan Coffey to STOP THE TOY SLAVE SHIP! All of northeasts woes have been cured and with the implementation of the magical mystery better bus plan that goes everywhere you want anytime you desire for free!!!!! I'm sure this collapses buding will be replaced with good new development and tax paying residents who are wowed by your focus on basic services and fiscal responsibility! No way will it be torn down an replaces with a vacant weedy lot like every other building that fell to ruin in northeast! And if it does, at lead tit won't cause solpooky things like "density" or "a sustainable taxbase to pay for the maintenance of infrastructure and services"! That would be scary anyway! Let's keep northeast moving in the same direction it's been moving in for the last 30 years, guys!
ReplyDeleteYes, when kids want toys they make all sorts of promises. Didn't fly with those pesky voters last August tho. :)

ReplyDeleteIt came down in a ROYAL FLUSH and thankfully on with a FULL HOUSE!!!!
My kids and I painted many of those cards. This is disappointing. The streetcar wouldn't have saved this building; in fact, it would create additional debt obligations making it even harder to tear down the existing burned out structures that have been standing dangerously for years.
ReplyDeleteThe building was being renovated until D.A.R.T. stopped the renovation and then it became an art project. Way to go COMBAT, way to go D.A.R.T. keeping NE KC blighted for over 20 years!!!
