Kansas City H&R (Job Chopping) Block

More cuts for workers within Kansas City's Downtown loop as this town continues to lose jobs while waiting for a so-called renaissance: H&R Block eliminates about 90 jobs, mostly in Kansas City

  1. H&R Bloch is one of those companies that rely on contract workers, no benefits. they lie to and cheat their employees and treat their employees like shit. Those loosing jobs will be far better of not working for a bunch of complete ass holes.

  2. Many of those jobs are filled through the FEC with WIA funding, they work for H&R Block for about two months and WIA pays for it ... well....your tax dollars pay for it, H&R Block says it isnt working out after the 8 to 12 weeks of free labor has ended and they send "new" employees to work until that funding runs out, then they use "training dollars" that you and I pay for the temp employees to get "job history" from to move on and seek employment permanently elsewhere, if they cant ... they refile unemployment and the wheels on the bus start going round and round again.
Clyde McQueen gets his numbers for the feds, people get to stay on state aid for working a few works out of the year and everyone is happy

  3. And all in yet another heavily-subsidized downtown building.
    What a success!
And 90 layoffs way more than makes up for the handful of jobs that are "created" by all the 26 year-old "entrepreneurs.
Be sure not to look behind the curtain.

The IRS has ruled that if integral to your job duties, the axe is tax deductible.
