Mayor Sly uses The Dover Group quite a bit and they're accused of their own "whisper campaign" in an East coast election . . .

A bit of racial politicking from one of the Mayor Sly's advisers . . .
"Why would (Wolf) chair the campaign of a man arrested for his role in a RACE riot ... one that left a black woman dead?" reads the script.
It's not clear when or where the ad will hit the air.
McCord spokesman Mark Nevins said the campaign doesn't discuss ad strategy.
"It's something that people will see, but I can't give you specifics about our plans for it," he said.

It's easy to talk about "civility" and negative campaigning but looking inward and checking out campaign tactics from local politicos is something that most Kansas City elected officials wont do.

ReplyDeleteCivility works in a political campaign only when the candidates have ideas and proposals and can engage in a discussion of priorities and public policy.
ReplyDeleteSince the menagerie that regularly runs (and unfortunately wins) for office in KCMO have no clue about municipal issues or governance, the campaigns must revert to name-calling, civility pledges, and other juvenile crap.
Then the campaigns are followed by city officials continuing to engage in petty juvenile crap.
That's why the public has so little interest in local government and would prefer to just be left alone.
Turnout under double digits coming up.
I guess the folks who've been drinking the radioactive wine rely on Yael for guidance on key issues. They never cared about the deaths of Mexican farm workers in the vineyards of Napa Valley so why would they care about truth and accuracy in Yaelotics
