Soccer isn't really isn't our bag but Sporting Kansas City is fun and they held their own tonight . . .
NBC Sports: Sporting Kansas City 1-1 New York Red Bulls
Even better . . .
CHECK THE SCOREBOARD FOR A SIGN THAT KANSAS CITY, MO IS LOSING THE BORDER WAR!!!
The DFA logo seen at the Sporting Park is courtesy of the Dairy Farmers of America who just left Kansas City, Mo for sweet Kansas tax breaks. They were formerly the largest private employer in KCMO and they weren't excited enough about the toy train streetcar to stick around.
Best of all . . .
"A KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTER ASKS: New DFA sponsor on scoreboard at Sporting game. Part of relocation pkg???"
Possibly.
The only thing we know for sure is that Kansas City Proper is getting killed in the border war and the carnage keeps getting worse despite the consistent spin of local politicos.
Developing . . .
Why not! Everybody got a 1% raise at least. KCMO is worse than Detroit, Detroit has already declared bankruptcy and sent their corrupt Mayor to prison. Detroit is on the right track, on the mend. CKMO is behind, again.
ReplyDeleteLet's be honest. KCMO has nothing to offer. Nobody wants what KCMO is selling, show me any Cerner employee that wants to work at Banister if they could work at the Legends. WONT happen!
ReplyDeleteI work for cerner at the legends and the best part of my day is seeing the sign that reads "now leaving kansas"
DeleteOh you must be a giant douche....
DeleteThe train is nice for a quick visit before a concert but it makes no practical sense. Just a waste of money that could have been used better elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteThe whole fucking soccer field is in Kansas in case you didn't know.
ReplyDeleteI just hurt myself rolling my eyes this is so stupid.
So the Dairy Farmers employ more people than HCA Midwest...or Cerner...or Sprint...or St. Luke's...or Children's Mercy.
ReplyDeleteRight.
If you're going to make shit up try a little harder. The Star has more people than DFA, Jesus.
A mojority of tge jobs for every single company you mentioned are in Kansas. The Star has more people??? Wow, you need to do some homework.
DeleteCapital Journal Online: "Kansas City’s largest private company is moving from Missouri to Kansas after its new, $30 million headquarters in the Village West area of Wyandotte County is completed."
ReplyDeleteAll those other companies are public private partnerships. Agriculture is still a big business in kc.

Allow me to quote the KC Star to show u that what our ugly blogger friend said was a fact: The Dairy Farmers of America, formed in 1998, is the area’s largest private employer by revenue, taking in $18 billion last year. It has leased 72,000 square feet of space near Kansas City International Airport since its inception.
ReplyDeleteFacts are so much fun.
Kansas City is screwed.
Let's have three cheers for more corporate welfare coming to KCK and the corrupt pigs who profit from it.
