Remember that the Mayor is a member of the police board and basically one of the local bosses of the Chief.
It's a fairly innocuous message but let's not underestimate the help of one of this town's power brokers and the leader of the largest city funded institution.
While social media doesn't allow for very much detailed explanation of any endorsement or approval, it's important for locals to see this political alliance in action. Now VOTERS must decide if the words of support are deserved or even appropriate.

Lee's summit does not allow them and Overland park or Johnson County does not allow them, hmmm Campgrounds are not all that popular in the area because most people see recreation as relaxation, and its just not offered here, Kansas City is the armpit of America, they try to promote a clean under arm to attract visitor revenue but are masters at hiding the stink!!
ReplyDeleteJust ask your local Fire Dept, they understand politics in your city, they are masters of spin and manipulation, I kinda got to give them kudos for that though, while they are far from experts in their field, and if you live there, will more than likely die from a medical emergency compared to other cities of the same size, they sure know how to bull shit the public to get what they want and they have successfully achieved that, always getting what they want. Oh and most firefighters will suck a dick (especially at city hall) to ensure they get what they want. Just go back over history and check it out, teenage girls being solicited at old station 19 in Westport, so what did they do? They moved the station around the corner, its still station 19, its still in reach of Westport, I am sure the administration, promised new dreams to the public on building a new station in the quadrant that will best protect the city. I worked for KCFD until I couldn't take the lies, the bullshit, it just wasn't worth the money to sell my values out. I quit because I am a man of principal, there wasn't much of that there, Am I a rat?, not at all, but I do have the same right to post on any website or blog just as you do, with my opinions, and my experiences. Looking forward to the retaliation posts to this one! The fire service will always have a comeback, and a excuse, to justify what ever they see fit to keep the golden taxpayer paying their wage, benefits, and usually a underserved pension.
