KANSAS CITY COYOTE FEAR RUNS WILD!!!

Kansas City wildlife fear is on the rise as local sightings on a specific canine species spike.

Check it:

KCUR: "In the past 15 years, coyote populations in Midwestern urban and suburban areas have been increasing -- including in the Kansas City area. There have been coyote sightings in Lenexa, Overland Park, Shawnee, near Kansas City International Airport in Missouri, and they are commonly heard and seen around Lawrence, Kan."

This probably has just as much to do with suburbs stretching out further into the hinterlands and disturbing the habitat of these animals that have not moved closer to population centers and are probably pissed off.

  1. The hyena population has been exploding also. You can hear them hooting, laughing, and howling on weekend nights at all hours late at night around and in many formerly serene neighborhoods.

    2. We live in Turner area and own 11 acres and when you come face to face with a coyote pack 4 to 6 coyotes think all jokes set aside you really start to think twice about even walking to your car at night. We have them on our trail can as well

  2. The feral human population is also becoming a problem. May want to start a trap, neuter, spay, and release program.

  3. But of all the species, it is the chimp population that has increased the most in Killa City. And yes, a trap and neuter program would be most welcome for it.

Don’t forget the hoodisrattis urbanis feralis and their booming population and their ability to move into diverse urban and suburban habitat. It makes the baboon rampage in South Africa in the 1990s look tame in comparison and makes Victoria and Johannesburg looked like they were simply overrun by too many kittens.
