CELEBRATE TKC FIRST LOOK @ STARBUCKS 'RACE TOGETHER' NEWSPAPER!!!

Sunday is the only day of the week where Dead Tree Media might be halfway important and today the Starbucks "RACE TOGETHER" newspaper hitting local coffee shops might be the only printed document worth reading.

To wit . . .

TKC IS THE FIRST KANSAS CITY MEDIA OUTLET TO ACTUALLY OFFER A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE STARBUCKS "RACE TOGETHER" NEWSPAPER!!!

Take a look . . .

It was actually kinda nice.

Big, bold print, not a lot to read and lots of pictures . . . Kinda like USA Today on meth.

A few observations . . .

- In the Kansas City area the newspapers are showing up first in the suburbs and my JoCo barista seemed terrified that I was gonna ask a racial question. I didn't get a free iced coffee though from a kindly barista who said he was gonna throw it out anyhoo. White people aren't all bad.

- Seriously, we covered this one earlier in the week but it's really clear that KANSAS CITY BARISTAS ARE WAY TOO BUSY TO TALK RACIAL POLITICS WITH CUSTOMERS to and we don't envy any of these folks having to deal with the griping that this effort will probably cause.

- The commentary about this one is mostly trite, reactionary and easy to predict from mean old white dudes crying bitter tears to flavor their coffee. Let's think about this creatively for just a sec . . . The race together campaign could be the most effective tool to start a conversation with a hottie broad of a different ethnic persuasion and has at least offered TKC a chance to make a few of the more amicable Starbucks hotties giggle . . . Even though I'm certain that there's one barista @ the Downtown location who wants TKC dead.

As always, it's better to be informed by all of the news and commentary on this one rather than just spout off a silly coffee opinion with a lot of bad puns. But I digress  . . . And have started to visit more locally owned coffee places . . .

Read more here and sadly realize that the free Starbucks newspaper will be seen by more eyeballs than any other Dead Tree Media publication.

  3. Hey I'd rather have private companies doing this than the government. I don't agree with Starbucks, but see no problem at all with a private company doing whatever the hell they want. So even though I disagree I support their freedom to do so.

  5. If Starbucks wants us to talk about race, let’s start with why they don’t have Starbucks Coffee Houses in some of America’s cities that are mostly black, or have had a racially charged history?

My friend looked up various cities, and found that there are no Starbucks Coffee Houses in many of them.

Places like Highland Park, Michigan, which is at the center of Detroit, is inhabited by a population that is 94 percent African-American. Or in Benton Harbor, Michigan, which is almost 90 percent African-American. There is not a Starbucks in either town.

There is not a Starbucks in East St. Louis, Illinois, in which 98 percent of the population is African-American. Nor is there one in Gary, Indiana, whose population is 85 percent African-American.

The recent remembrance of the march on Selma, Alabama had the president walking down the street with many people who fought for civil rights, but once again, Selma doesn’t have a Starbucks. Neither does Ferguson, Missouri.

Here is the point, if Starbucks wants to have a conversation about race, perhaps they should explain why they are not accessible to most of those they claim to advocate for and champion. If being of a different race than white is higher on their list of desirables, why isn’t Starbucks putting their money where their mouth is?

  14. Do you work at Starbucks? Chances are that at least some of our readers do, as these stores are ubiquitous across the Jewnited States. If so, here’s what you need to do.

You know the coffee cups where you’re supposed to write about race relations on, with the #RaceTogether hashtag? You need to write redpilling facts on those cups.

Here are some ideas for things you can write:
    * Asians have to score 300 points higher than blacks on the SAT to be considered for the same schools. #racetogether

    * Starbucks and almost all other huge corporations are owned by ethnic Jews. Why do we never hear about “Jewish privilege”? #racetogether

    * Blacks are 21x more likely to be killed by another black than by police. #racetogether

    * Ashkenazi Jews are the wealthiest ethnic group in the world. Why do we never hear about “Jewish privilege”? #racetogether

    * Research by the Home Office suggests that the more ethnically diverse an area is, the less people are likely to trust each other. #racetogether

    * The 1% is 99% Jewish. #racetogether

    * A sample of 68 cases found that 86% of men in Britain convicted of sex crimes against children are of Pakistani origin. #racetogether

    * Daren Wilson was found innocent of any wrongdoing, but Ferguson still burned. #racetogether

    * The owners of the “big six” media companies – Disney, News Corp., GE, CBS, Viacom, and Time Warner – are all ethnic Jews. #racetogether

    * Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, and 85% of the early government of the USSR and other communist countries were ethnic Jews. #racetogether

    * In Israel, blacks are forcibly sterilized and treated like animals. #racetogether

    * Almost all of the people behind the trans-Atlantic slave trade were ethnic Jews. Why do we never hear about this? #racetogether

    * Starbucks is owned by Howard Schultz, an ethnic Jew. Why do we never hear about the wealth and privilege that ethnic Jews have? #racetogether

    * We’re happy to lecture you about racism, but we’re not going to open up a store in Ferguson. #racetogether

Remember, White man: the Jews cannot defeat facts. We do not have “conspiracy theories”. What we have are facts, and facts speak for themselves. Facts are the easiest way to wake up the masses, which is why the Jews are so desperate to control the Internet, which is the only form of media which they do not yet have total control over.
If you work at Starbucks, then you owe it yourself – and to your kin – to take full advantage of this new #RaceTogether campaign in order to spread racial awareness.

  41. I understand that many on here let hate override there logic but why do this? Where can White people openly talk about race in this country? Why would White people use this chance to vent there anger instead of influencing other Whites?

I cannot understand how we are not cheering Starbucks! There is a reason every MSM news outlet AGREES that this idea is "bad" and why the left is out for blood! For gods sake don't we always bitch and moan that White people have been silenced?

The extreme left White liberals are our enemies but how many average Whites remain silent? Most Whites remain silent but that doesn't mean they are idiotic and don't see what's going on! Most Whites have a job and families and cannot risk there LIFE to take a stand even though it's desperately needed. They don't understand that there are other White people that are worried for there childrens futures.
Starbucks is opening it's doors and asking people to TRULY talk about race. Are we so defeated that we think that means people are only allowed to talk about BLACK PROBLEMS?

I just don't know what to say...my faith has been crippled by some of these comments...this is the best thing we could ever hope for and we are siding with liberals saying this is bad(for the most part).

Am i missing something? How is this bad? I want to know. How is it bad for White people to talk to other White people about race? I know there will be some anti-White conversations but does that matter in an age where that is literally everywhere?

  47. I have to say in all fairness I don't or have I ever stepped foot one into a Starbucks. I find paying on average $71.00 (figure includes travel cost) per month for one cup of coffee fives days a week is just semi short of an insane episode. By the way the average actual operating costs for that coffee is less than $8.45 per month. I myself really enjoy my gourmet coffee I drink about everyday in 24 ounce amounts for a cost of about $15 dollars a month depending on how often I have overnight guests and thats having three different varieties on hand for whatever mood I am in to drink. I grind it fresh everyday and waste about 4 minutes each day making my own coffee and you can't drive to Starbucks in 4 minutes.

So I could care less what Starbucks does in their shops or what they print for customers to see. It's a private business and they can do as they please far as I am concerned. If you don't like it then don't drink their swill. I have noticed that Hobby Lobby seems to be business as normal when ever I am in there buying my art supplies being helped by the same lady most of the time who is happy to have worked for them a good number of years even after all the liberal twits were screaming boycotts for the actions of the owners of Hobby Lobby.

So maybe Tony felt the questions would just be ignored I have no idea. I will say this upcoming election appears to have nightmare written all over it with the selection of candidates along with the over all who is pushing write ins, backing who and creating overall confusion for a lot of the voters. And then maybe that is the goal by certain people to make it such a mess it pisses the voters off and they don't get out and vote, thus the same ole asswypes get back in office.

    1. E-tax
    2. Streetcar
    3. Airports
    4. Hotels
    5. Sewer service to the Northland
    6. Water Department Audit

  56. Which of the following would the candidate support
    1) Billboards-- Catch all the Non property tax paying billboards, start yearly inspections and safety fees, add an excise tax. Institute a building fee that is a % of the total cost of the billboard just like with residential building permits.

    2) Raise Impact Fees--What Impact does each new development project have on the environment?

    3) Merge the Kansas City Election Board with the Jackson County Election Board--

    4) QUIT giving 2 Million to the BALL TEAMS

    5) Egalatarian dispersal of any ART & Cultural Tax; Racially, and Culturally

6)Tax Increment Financing -New taxes must be TIF EXEMPT

    7) Raise the water and sewage treatment rates to wholesale and commercial accounts. Require that they pay their fair share. Especially Johnson County.

8)Institute a national assessor system like Iowas Collect on ALL of the assets that businesses try to hide.

    9) Quit the Police Automobile Loan System for off duty police, particularly for use at some off duty job.

10)Performance audits and economic audits, particularly on water department

  57. What if any taxes or tax districts do they think are necessary/unneccessary? Are there any they think should be sunset? Can they identify all of the different taxes? Do they see any problem with the complexity and wide range of taxes from one neighborhood to the next?

  58. SuperDave: The above were user submitted questions for TKC Questionnaire. They are the issues the people care about. What are your suggestions?

    My personal favorite :

    The Lundergan - Grimes question

Even though the Council race is non-partisan, symbolic votes on partisan issues seem to arise frequently in the Council chambers. Social issues are very important to many voters, and the candidates stance on social issues becomes important when the Council regularly takes a stance on those issues. How would you identify your party affiliation?

    3) During a performance at La Scala, she sang the jingle for Chef-Boyardee!

But I have just two myself and thats,

Will you support a new city ordinance limiting spending of taxpayer dollars on any new to build projects over 1 million dollars without citywide voter approval.

Will you support repairing/fixing of current taxpayer support entities within the city over and above any monies handed out to developers on new projects while eliminating any taxpayers supported business districts currently existing. In short if the developer/tenents can't support the project, the taxpayer dollar shouldn't be the reliable source to do so.

  72. Dear Mr. Tony: I am confident that the people at Starbucks meant well, but if there is one thing that the country does not need right now it is more discussions on race. The death of Trayvon Martin in early 2012 set in motion a major national focus on race--and this focus became a pathological obsession after the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson on Aug. 9, 2014. No, we do not need discussions on race right now because people are two worked up about the issue to discuss it with even a pretense of reason and logic. My suggestion for the nation's political class is that they declare a moratorium on racial issues as a major focus of discussion for six months or so to give everyone a chance to "cool off." Back to your corners and drink some Gatorade and rest and then resume the discussion!! Take care!! Sincerely and REspectfully, Ernest Evans
