BREAKING!!! WYCO DEPUTY SHOT AMID KANSAS CITY METRO CONVENIENCE STORE ARMED ROBBERY SPREE!!!



The Kansas City overnight was exceptionally violent and a local law enforcement officer suffered a gunshot would amid a gang of thieves taking down convenience stores on both sides of the State Line.

Deets of rampant Kansas City morning crime:

The off-duty deputy walked into the 7-Eleven near 44th and Shawnee Drive during an armed robbery just before 1:30 a.m. The suspects shot the deputy multiple times, but there is no word on the deputy's condition.

Police tell 41 Action News they believe this armed robbery is connected to two others within the prior few hours. The first happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday at a Shamrock gas station in the 8500 block of Woodland Avenue. The second happened at about 12:45 a.m. at a Phillips 66 near 79th and Wornall.

In all three robberies, three masked men showed a gun and demanded money.
