TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! JACKSON COUNTY DENIZENS WARN AGAINST WORKER BACKLASH INSIDE 'MEAN JEAN'S' PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE!!!

Right now we're hearing BREAKING NEWS worker complaints from inside the Jackson County Courthouse that seem to follow a pattern.

Remember that we've documented worker complaints from inside the prosecutor's office previously.

Now . . .

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS WARN US OF RENEWED ANGST AMONG JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTORS!!!

Here's the word . . .

Historic low morale in Jackson County Prosecutor's Office

Growing dislike for Jean Baker has lead to an historically high level of employee discontent and tanking morale inside the prosecutor's office. It seems that "Mean Jean" more than lives up to her name with employees.

Some of the staff say they feel routinely bullied and belittled as a result of the politico's self-proclaimed "management style." The long-term staff at the prosecutor's office is used to having to deal with unusually large political egos such as Claire McCaskill and Mike Sanders. Baker, however, is in another universe all to herself.

The situation has reached such critical mass that a large number of the long term prosecutors, people that have worked their entire professional careers in law enforcement, have been found beating the bush looking for anything in the public or private sector that can get them away from the bully in chief. Baker seems to be on a mission to remove the older prosecutors and staff and replace them with younger, lower paid, and more importantly unquestioning sycophants who will work to advance her political agenda. This issue bears serious watching.

  1. tkc, prosecutors simply MUST run a tight ship. the flip side of this coin is that she's obviously been trimming the budget. And that's a good thing, right? we like elected leaders who look out for taxpayer, right? there are many ways to look at interoffice turmoil and this isn't very productive to what should be everyone's goal: putting more criminals in jail.

  5. Eh. Does it matter? She's pretty much politically untouchable in her position as long as she doesn't run for any other office. I mean, when was the last time anyone ran against the sitting prosecutor? As long as she's the only one on the ballot, employee griping won't get anywhere. Stay mean, Mean Jean!

Kansas City politics is all about stressing the importance of ones self. Self-promotion doesn't care whose toes get stepped on. It's every man for them self.

  10. In a lot of other political positions this kind of incompetence and unprofessional behavior doesn't make much difference.
In a place like the prosecutor's office where her decisions and actions very seriously affect both individual lives and public safety, this kind of crap should be unacceptable.

  14. Every government worker bitches about the workplace. If it's so hard for you, folks, go start your own business in the private sector. Then you have to hunt your own food instead of being fed like animals waiting on the farmer to throw food in the trough.
