FACT CHECK: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS HALL OF FAMER WILL SHIELDS IS OVERRATED!!!

It is a cruel reality that championships are how greatness is determined in sports and the Kansas City Chiefs haven't achieved much in that regard for nearly half a century.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS HALL OF FAMER WILL SHIELDS DOESN'T REALLY DESERVE THE HONOR FOR HIS PALTRY ON FIELD ACCOMPLISHMENTS!!!

Sadly, it's the duty (hehe doody) of this blog to play the bad guy and fact check the Kansas City fanboy celebration even if Mr. Shields is one of the nicest pro-sports players in local history and his civic activism, charity and volunteer work outpaces nearly every other current and former local football player in recent history. . . . But being a nice guy doesn't but points on the board.

Here's the best article about the induction of this local loser:

Fox Sports: Chiefs' Shields voted into Pro Football Hall of Fame

Deets:

"Shields was a guard for Kansas City from 1993-2006, never missing a game in his 14 seasons. He was a first-team All-Pro three times, a second-team All-Pro four times, and was a member of the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 2000s."

Sure, consistency is great but during that same time the Chiefs were consistently horrible . . . It's not like it takes much effort to show up for non-competitive games and hang around with a bunch of losers . . . Just ask the people working for the newspaper.

To wit . . .

Shields might deserve recognition for his charity work and maybe an honorable mention for good attendance but his Hall of Fame induction simply speaks to the continued decline of both NFL and American achievement.

  2. Yep, this is where smart denizens come for expert commentary on football, public policy, transportation, Ebola, and cario training.

TKC, where the cum guy, aryans, and the "Cap 6" loser can fill space otherwise committed to.........., ah nothing.

  3. Well, at least you mentions Will Shields and the many good thing he has done for KC. That is at least a correct fact.

  4. Don't worry Tony you still have a few years to make the Kansas City Blogger's Hall of Fame. Of course it's the same three or four nominees each year, but after a decade you would think the old of winning the Legacy Bullshit award would swing your way.

  5. There's a blogger hall of fame? Where is it, McDonald's bathroom?

Bwahahahaaha. And I liked Will Shields, he was a good guy and a great asset to the team.

  6. Admit it bitches, Shields would barely have qualified as a starter on any real team.

  7. He's not overrated and should be in the Hall of Fame. Should have been a first ballot.

  8. Between Tony and Glazer, neither should be writing about sports. Tony needs to stick to news about his Hispanic bretheren (by the way, how many true Hispanics are in the NFL, Tony?).

  9. Please stop riding Tony's jock, the reason he writes about sports is because you shit heads get all in a tizzy when he does.

The only intelligent comment on here is @8:19.

Shields should have been inducted to the Hall of Fame on his FIRST attempt. That is the real story.

  12. Shields is a great man, a great human being, and she be honored as such. He puts most people to shame.
Few in KC can match his philanthropy.
    I applaud him.

  13. There really isn't anyone in this community that you won't disparage, is there? The concept of shame is lost on you, TKC.

  14. The only overrated person in this town is that fucking Glazer.
