Recently, Interim 5th District Council Lady Cokethea Hill was sworn into office.
She's Mayor Sly's pick in a process that was subverted by the administration . . . Still it was a nice event . .

It looks like he's checking out what could only be the most interesting mobile phone photo gallery in all of Kansas City. Take an even closer peek and witness the guy behind him having a bit of a chuckle.
Referencing recent controversy, a Kansas City Insider said: "You know, he's the whole reason the 5th District is in this mess right now. Why bother to show up? Why bother to glare at everyone. He's acting like he's the victim, like he was set up. He doesn't have anyone to blame but himself."

ReplyDeleteThat insider is Black. Only Black people think people who voluntarily step down from a position, even in disgrace, can have no seat at the table despite being a stakeholder. Figure that one out. If the insider is Cokethia then the 5th District has an even bigger problem. I don't have a dog in the fight but its a good thing she's only there for 7-8 months and nothing longer.

Hey Cokethea, not to long ago, we had our first black city manager, Wayne Cauthen. Sure he wasn't perfect, but he wasn't a lying crook like the new City Manager. A group at city hall lead a coup to oust him including Russ Johnson, Troy Schulte, Pat Klien, and John Franklin. Be a kick ass councilwoman and take the lead to fire Troy and Pat.
