SUNDAY NIGHT SOCIAL MEDIA SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF KANSAS CITY!!!

With news or more local murder, the hapless election silly season and overall economic stagnation despite mounting Kansas City toy train streetcar debt it's time for something just a bit upbeat for our Sunday night.

One of our favorite new metro programs is the Eight One Sixty with Chris Haghirian. Anybody can talk a big game about local music but recently Mr. Haghirian has done one better and put together a really useful resource for local music lovers.

Take a look:

CLICK THIS MASTER LIST OF ALL THE TOP KANSAS CITY BANDS ON INSTRAGRAM TONIGHT!!!

Really great shots and a nice view of the local music scene in these photos.

A note about the compilation process:

"A year ago this week I put together a list of #kcbands on Instagram. over the past 52 weeks it's grown quite a bit. have a look below. If you're in a band and I forgot to include your link please post it in the comments and I'll keep this list up to date. also, media people and promoters, if I forgot you, please do the same and I'll add you to the list."

Check out the local music dude and his Instragram here along with all of his great pix and links.

That about does it for our Sunday night . .

Hopefully, we'll have more BREAKING EXCLUSIVE NEWS, discussion, debate, discourse, our share of hateration and all kinds of good stuff for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!

  1. A lot of good bands but in KC you gotta be careful because a lot of them look a lot better than they sound.

Just curious, has there ever been a great band to come out of KC?

And please, for Chrissake's don't say The Rainmakers.

Shit, even Cleveland has had a few.

Must be something inherently mediocre about the old Cowtown.

The lack of a college culture in KC probably has a lot to do with it, as those are generally incubators for a lot of great music.

  3. Immoralists all. They should be lined up and shot.

Women who wear pants deliberately cause men to lust, and commit the sin of adultery.

It is this spirit of fornication which has caused tens-of-millions of unwanted pregnancies in the United States, and 48,000,000 abortions in America.

Rock-n-Roll, Big Band, and the roaring 20's are much to blame.

Along with these swingy types of music came dancing, one of the biggest sins of all.

Billy Sunday was right to preach against dancing, and by the way... ALL dancing is dirty dancing unless it's between a husband and wife in the privacy of their home.

“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” —Jesus Christ, Matthew 5:28

The average person today scoffs at the idea that Rock-n-Roll, Satanism, and immoral sex go hand-in-hand, but they certainly do.

When Rock-n-Roll came to America, so did pants on women become mainstream.

Naturally, feminism, witchcraft, abortion, and homosexuality came as well. Rock-n-Roll is straight from the pits of Hell.

ALL rock-n-roll women wear pants. Sexual immorality is a driving theme in rock.

  12. There's always a music scene, and theres always people who are willing to talk endlessly about it.
