TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE: GOP CONSULTANT JEFF ROE ANSWERS QUESTIONS ABOUT KANSAS CITY ELECTION CYCLE INVOLVEMENT GIVEN HIS WORK FOR PREZ CONTENDER SEN. CRUZ!!!

Kansas City political insiders are abuzz over gossip that Jeff Roe won't be putting all of his attention into the upcoming election cycle.

For years the CONSERVATIVE JUGGERNAUT CONSULTANT JEFF ROE has inspired fear and loathing from Democratic Party Kansas City candidates. Yeah, yeah, the elections are supposed to be non-partisan but this is a mostly union-controlled, progressive town trapped betwixt two decidedly Red States.

And so . . . The current tidal wave of local political gossip mistakenly speculates that Jeff Roe is giving up on the shrimpy Kansas City election season, directing his attention away from this small pond and working on frying up much bigger fish.

To wit . . .

TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS: GOP CONSULTANT JEFF ROE TALKS ABOUT HIS WORK WITH POSSIBLE PREZ CONTENDER SEN. TED CRUZ AND THE IMPLICATIONS FOR KANSAS CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES WHO DESPERATELY FEAR OR DESIRE HIS WINNING LOCAL WORK!!!

Take a look . . .

Jeff Roe Seyz: "Axiom and Candidate Command employed 45 people during the election cycle and maintain 20 employees year-round between our Washington DC, Kansas City, Dallas and California offices. We have a cadre of the best and brightest minds in politics who are accomplished political strategists in their own right.

"I'm involved in Sen Cruz's national efforts and will await his decision about the '16 cycle.

"But whatever that looks like, Axiom will continue to elect and reelect more officeholders than any company in the nation and will serve our clients in a diligent, professional manner."

This biz speak may offer a bit of reassurance and Axiom is undoubtedly this town's most successful political shop. Still, this might be a sign of hope for insiders who know that Mr. Roe is one of the greatest political strategists that Kansas City has seen in more than a generation . . . Which is kinda why he has moved onward and upward to directing his personal attention to the national stage.

You decide . . . But realize that FIRST WORD of this move EXCLUSIVELY LEADS OUR SUNDAY NEWS CYCLE BEFORE ANY OTHER LOCAL MEDIA OUTLET. Natch.

  1. TKC, I think it's worth mentioning that this has the most implications for the Northland races where Roe reigns supreme. This might change the dynamic or maybe the Axiom guys are going to start to make a name for themselves this time around.

  15. Republicans are unelectable, cruz will not win the white house. Roe would have been better off working to find a candidate to replace Sly James.

  16. Why does the Star no longer report local news?

  17. The Star has been including hard core pornography with its editions last week but since no one reads the paper, no one saw the porn. It is like if a tree falls in the forest and it is filmed and shown on MSNBC, does anyone see it?

  18. There's a reason why Sly has a 80% favorable poll numbers.

He's great and the city hasn't been on a better path in about 75 years. Downtown is growing, midtown is growing, the city is a destination again and people here have pride. Everyone in the real world knows it. Sorry transit-haters. There's still plenty of withering suburbs where you can live with other head in the sand deniers.

" The GOP now controls 68 out of 98 partisan state legislative chambers -- the highest number in the history of the party. Republicans currently hold the governorship and both houses of the legislature in 23 states (24 if Sean Parnell wins re-election in Alaska), while Democrats have that level of control in only seven."

    Hardly unelectable.
