TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CELEBRATE!!! DEADLY KANSAS CITY POLICE SHOOTING INCIDENTS ARE DOWN!!!

Here's a bit of good practical news for tonight that deserves a bit of commendation . . .

KANSAS CITY POLICE REPORT FEWER DEADLY OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTINGS THIS YEAR!!!

Apparently, while this town protests violence by authorities in other parts of the nation . . . Locally there's a bit less of a reason to complain. This fun fact should offer a fact check the the recent season of protest and was even surprising for us to discover.

Here's what INSIDERS at the KCPD are saying . . .

"During the 2013 calendar year, we were involved in six different officer involved shootings where the suspect died as a result of his actions and injuries."

"YTD this year there have been four different officer involved shootings where the suspect died as a result of his actions and injuries."

And while tempers always tend to run hot during the holiday season . . . Let's hope the number doesn't budge during the last few days of the year and Kansas City protests against police violence remain mostly theoretical or a reaction to what people are watching on cable news.

Developing . . .

  1. There are a lot of folks who find this number too high and point out the racial demographic but either way the reduction is a good sign that even police would welcome. Credit less lethal options like tasers.

  4. JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!

KCPD is putting out crap like this, in the wake of Ferguson, etc., as some sort of statement that they're not abusing their use of force?

Some would find the decrease from 6 to 4 lethal incidents as possible evidence that officer safety is being jeopardized for the sake of politics.

It's a very sad day when KCPD leadership is more interested in playing politics than focusing on the basics of public safety.

  5. I wish that number was higher. Less of my tax dollars spent housing them.

  6. There only numbers so don't worry, the FBI isn't interested in killer cops. It's only Christmas propaganda to get through the Holiday Season.

  7. Some people just can't stand positive news.
