Tonight we feature surprising and unhappy returns from our blog community regarding the performance of Kansas City Mayor Sly James for 2014.

PRELIMINARY POLL RESULTS REVEAL THAT MAYOR SLY RATES WORSE THAN FORMER MAYOR MARK FUNKHOUSER IN JOB PERFORMANCE!!!
It's important to remember that we're not talking about likeability or friendliness or all around "nice guy" appeal where Sly wins just about every contents. This polling was just about running the biz of KCMO last year.
Here's the PRELIMINARY DATA we have collected from our KICK-ASS subscriber community so far:
Excellent: 21.4%
Average: 21.4%
Poor: 14.3%
Worse Than Funkhouser: 42.9%
There is still a bit of follow-up research to do and these results aren't final. HOWEVER, MSM won't cover the fact that our Mayor faces serious pushback and this year he was defeated time after time by local voters from The Toy Train Streetcar, To Ambulance Outsourcing Petitions and again on Charter reform.
Sadly, local corporations and law firms have colluded and conspired to keep the guy in power and work against most every challenger . . . EVEN IF WE HEAR DAN COFRAN IS HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS . . . Still . . . Tonight we report the fact that in Brookside, the urban core and throughout the metro . . . Kansas City's Mayor Sly James is far less popular than mainstream media portrays. And all this has inspired tonight's playlist.

Sly will be around for another four years, take every opportunity to bury the city's actual financial condition, and leave the mess for the next poor sucker.

I would love to see you post statistics and percentages on that one! and if you do, post the statistics and percentages on how the fire service rapes the taxpayers or benefits the city. ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe myself the other day when I was having a conversation with a co-worker and found myself actually saying that Funkhouser was a much better mayor than Sly James. I totally believe Mayor Sly will have us filing bankruptcy before he gets out of office. He is a bully and really cares nothing for the everyday people living in KC. My wish for the New Year is that someone with integrity would step up and not only run but win the election. Kansas City needs serious help.

ReplyDeleteFunkhouser wins! This is a teaching moment. Maybe its better to work through controversy than to dismissively vote against someone because of their wife. Sure the lady was a hardship on the social goings-on but maybe trying to work through differences was a much better solution. We've got damage we cannot hope to fix under the Sly James administration. At least, Funkhouser was fiscally responsible.

ReplyDeleteThere is a large group of KCMO residents who loved Funkhouser's "no nonsense" approach to the city budget and are frustrated with his inability to fend off personal political attacks.
ReplyDeleteSly James is different than Mark Funkhouser in every way. I believe overall, he's been a positive champion of KC, but I also believe he's been a little too eager to spend our tax money on projects without properly selling the idea or considering feedback that is incongruent with his predetermined strategy.
