  1. Don't worry, Pat Klein and Roadrage Russ didn't even consider that. They still think Kansas City needs a toy train. Idiots.

  2. As more half-empty downtown office buildings are converted to apartments, downtown is becoming a bedroom community with most of the jobs being created in the suburbs. Unless, of course, you consider selling socks online and "makers" creating horsehair shirts new businesses.
KCMO really needs to start thinking about reverse commute buses to get people from downtown to jobs in the suburbs.
At least until the millenials age-out and move to Prairie Village with their kids, and then never mind.

  3. Non sequitur (Latin for "it does not follow"), in formal logic, is an argument in which its conclusion does not follow from its premises. In a non sequitur, the conclusion could be either true or false, but the argument is fallacious because there is a disconnection between the premise and the conclusion. All invalid arguments are special cases of non sequitur. The term has special applicability in law, having a formal legal definition. Many types of known non sequitur argument forms have been classified into many different types of logical fallacies.

The non sequitur here of course is that telecommuting has ANYTHING to do with light rail projects.

  5. The streetcar is old technology. Rapid Transist buses with improvements in technology are much more flexible and being utilized in more cities than fixed rail transit. And there definitely needs to be reverse transit utilized to Overland Park, Lenexa and Olathe using existing train lines from Union Station.
