At this point, it seems likely that Kemper Arena will be razed and a smaller structure will emerge according to a plan supported by influential members of the American Royal Association. Does this demonstrate how "power players" get their power?

There's yet another delay in the Mission Gateway project at Shawnee-Mission Parkway and Roe. The location seems like a desirable one. What's the problem?
Elections
Despite scathing criticism from Democrats and some in the news media, Republicans in both Missouri and Kansas won significant victories in state legislative races. The GOP also won significant numbers of local and federal elections nationwide. What issues are likely to emerge? Education? Medicaid? Tax policy? Republicans are often called out-of-touch with public opinion by some media and even by some in the party. If they are, how did they manage to win all these elections?
Legalize it?
Efforts are already underway to make legalized marijuana an issue on the Missouri ballot in 2016. Earlier tries in the state have failed; however, last week's elections saw similar initiatives win in Oregon, Alaska, and Washington, D.C. Is Missouri likely to join the ranks of states legalizing marijuana?
