KANSAS CITY QUESTION: IS MAYOR SLY READY FOR THE SNOW???

The East Coast snow storm this week killed more than a dozen people and it looks like a long, hard winter coming up for Kansas City.

Remember that last year City Hall met snowfall with a Twitter feed and good vibes . . . This time residents might need something a bit more substantial.

Here's an important question and something to consider on the topic:

"Here is a gallery of shots from the Village of Hamburg, NY a day after 7 feet of snow fell. Is it me or do their streets look cleaner than KC’s after 7 inches of snow? If KC wants to be a world-class city, it needs to provide world-class public services - at least as good as a Buffalo suburb."

To wit . . .

GIVEN WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT KANSAS CITY'S SCREWED UP PRIORITIES . . . IS KANSAS CITY READY FOR A BLIZZARD THIS YEAR?!?!?

You decide . . .

  1. KANSAS CITY QUESTION: IF IT SNOWS WILL I STILL WHINE LIKE A FUCKING OVERGROWN CRYBABY ABOUT THE CITY'S RESPONSE??? DON'T BOTHER ANSWERING!!! YOU KNOW I WILL!!!

  2. Now that we've heard from the City Manager... anyone else?

  3. I believe that response was from ASSISTANT city manager Pat Klein. You know, the guy who gets paid $160,000 per year to troll on TKC, Facebook, and Twitter. Seriously. And yes, snow efforts will absolutely suck in KCMO. That's what happens when they hire a "novelty" public works director who got fired twice in the private sector.

  4. I don't know shitty city management any more than I know immigration law.

However, this blog is beyond too much when it comes to sniveling and whinning. Tony, pass the collective hat and get a friggin van, ans take all the weather complainers down to FLA!

Then you all can return in the Fall and pick up those that bitch about the marathon.

If I seem sensitive to the complaining, its because I have to hear 72 hours of old people complain about everything over Thanksgiving.

You can either be victims or victors. If you can't stand the GD weather here, you might consider moving your fat asses.

    Life is too short.

  7. Those people know how to deal with snow 90% of the people around here are clueless about how to deal with snow. They as well know it will take a day or two to dig out of this snowstorm, around here nobody seems to be able to wait 5 minutes for that to happen have to go go go go right fucking now.

  12. As long as that prick Greg Bolon is in charge of snow removal, it will suck. He still uses chemicals from the 90's, and will not use the modern tools. Of course Sherri is clueless so she doesn't even know. They are all a joke!

  13. Lucky for us that council and mayor terms are only four years. Eventually we will get a council and mayor with some intelligence to see how useless managers like Schulte, Klein, O'Bannon, McIntyre, Leeds, McHenry, and VaLogh really are. Until then, keep eating the turd sandwich.

  14. 8:16. Lol. Here in the WSD we were promised by management that they would fill critical management positions and it was all smoke and mirrors while in PWD, they are firing people. Not to mention one of those fired who was an ex WSD employee won 3/4 of a million because she had a bitter-old hag as a director. We all applaud her.
