It may seem like a small tidbit but it's an important piece of legislation because it shows Kansas City still hasn't made much housing progress against blight and it documents and yet another anti-union rule change that City Hall has seen more often under the current regime.

Ordinance #140940: Under certain circumstances (TKC READS: always), waiving the requirement that a company must be a licensed demolition contractor to demolish properties owned by the Land Bank of Kansas City, Missouri.
Meanwhile, fewer local vacants would be nice for neighborhoods and this remains yet another unfulfilled of Mayor Sly James.
