HERE'S THE WORD FROM UBER ABOUT DEEP DISCOUNTS IN THE AFTERMATH OF LOCAL LYFT TEMPORARY SHUT DOWN FIRST AND EXCLUSIVELY ON TKC!!!

Kansas City Uber honcho Ben McCarthy seyz:

"As you reported yesterday, Lyft announced that they are suspending operations indefinitely at noon on Friday (24th). Many young people in town use Lyft, and may have not heard of Uber (or used Lyft primarily because it was slightly more affordable than Uber at the time).

"Uber has actually cut rates 30-35% in the last month, and offers a very similar experience to Lyft. There's a new promo code (8klr0) that can be utilized by anyone who is a first time user to Uber. That will get them $20 off when they start riding.

Whether someone needs a designated driver, has to make a trip to the airport, or wants to get to an event with questionable parking, Uber is a great resource for everyone to have on their smart phone.

We'd love to help get the word out as much as possible so that former Lyft users won't be without a ride share moving forward."
