Local residents have a short memory so it's worth reviewing that . . .
- The Mayor's crackdown against open carry was ruled ILLEGAL and pushed back to conform with Missouri law.
- The Mayor has worked to establish questionable "gun courts" and special prosecution against owners of firearms.
- The Mayor has consistently misrepresented 2nd Amendment defense with endorsing illegal guns on the street . . . Sadly, Mayor James seems more concerned with limiting lawful gun owners than anything else.
But what's worst of all . . .
MAYOR SLY JAMES DOESN'T CARE ABOUT OPPOSITION AGAINST HIS ANTI-GUN AGENDA!!!
A recent quote reveals the mayor "infuriated" about any contradiction to his anti-gun stance:
Mayor James says he's not changing his ways: "I don't really care what critics say because they always seem to have an opinion about something but I don't see them doing anything."
"They're not the ones who go to the scenes, or are held responsible for the violence in this city, I am," James continues. "And as long as that is the case I am going to continue to do what I do."
And so . . . As the reelection of Mayor James seems inevitable, there's talk of push back from national Conservative groups and a reassurance from the Mayor that he'll continue his fight against the 2nd Amendment.

IF Sly was smart, he would focus on stiffer penalties on crimes committed with guns rather than trying to shred the constitution.
ReplyDeleteIt's easier to campaign for something that can't happen than to change the things he does have control of. Fixing the KCPD and the prosecutor's office would take real work, campaigning against guns is much easier. Since he has no control over gun laws it's an easy path for him.
