  3. I have personally met George Brett, he is not personable, seems miserable (could be because he is old) he had a bad attitude, seemed annoyed that I held out my hand to shake his, that was in 2006 in the tunnel under the stadium. When I saw him on the sportscast desk on the World Series coverage (I found this coverage on local TV - I guess you cant watch regular season games on local tv anymore you have to buy a sports package through your cable or satellite network unless your team consistently loses over the years) (Its all about money) But he was actually humorous, I guess money changes personalities when given the opportunity to shine when you belong in a museum. Fuck George Brett he is a asshole! He sucks up any opportunity for attention! Did you see the Royals players at the stadium on the news Or if you were there in person) after they lost the world series the next day? they were humble, they were nervous to speak to a large crowd in person, but they went out and busted their asses this year and took their time to thank you for being awesome fans, and did the best job this season this city has seen in many years in Baseball in Kansas City!! I just wish instead of giving them bow ties (which btw are kinda cheap and gay) The mayor would have given them keys to the city!!, because that would have been a honor which they deserved! There is no "I" in "team", we have all heard that, and its true!. If you look at the current city council its I,I,I and me,me,me!! (IF you have money they might listen to what you want in making this city better and worse, but if you have tons of money you probably are a I,I,I and a me, me,me kinda mentality which makes you all a perfect fit for you but not us) a team that believes in what they are doing and where they are trying to go works together to accomplish a goal to change this city, this state, and this country, and a team mentality is the only chance this city, this state (your state if you dont live here) and this country Really has! The politicians are out for themselves while they lie and tell you they are out here for YOU! (thats such Bullshit and history proves it!) I am A huge fan of the Royals, and a huge fan of accountability, the Royals have proven their accountability by being at the bottom for so long and making it to the top! we are just waiting for the city, state and federal government to prove their accountability, it made me sick to see the mayor give those guys a cheap ass bowtie when that team brought millions of dollars in revenue into this city by the hard work they have done this season, but in Kansas City what you see is what you get from your local government unless you do like the Royals did this season, they were fearless and aggressive in making a change!, we saw what the Royals did and it made you proud to live here, now its time to do something to get our local government in check so you dont have to wait for a world series or a supper bowl to be proud to call Kansas City your Home!!!

    1. George Brett owes you nothing. Neither do any other pro athletes for that matter. Watch them play their games - if you want - that's all you get. You are not entitled to be buddies with these guys.

  7. Kansas City has shifted. The law firms are making sure that voters no longer have a voice. It's just a matter of time before bankruptcy. Already the city is bleeding money because of this damn streetcar. kc is headed toward oblivion and there is nobody that is going to stop it.
