"On Sept. 29, a neighbor saw the suspect walk into the apartment with a young woman. Hours later, police surrounded the apartment complex.

"Court documents say that the woman was an escort, and when they went to the apartment, he raped her at knife point. She told police that she begged for her life and could feel the breath leaving her body as he strangled her. Eventually, documents say that the suspect let the woman go. After seeking help, she was taken to Shawnee Mission Medical Center for treatment as police searched the apartment complex for her.

"Court documents say that police pinged the suspect's cell phone, and it came back to the hospital where the victim was. As the victim was being interviewed in the hospital, an officer looked out the window and saw the suspect standing there. Officers arrested him, and he told them that he had placed bombs around the hospital and that everyone was going to die."
