George Guastello, Union Station's quintessential cheerleader attempts to railroad Mr. Shanin while promoting face-painting for bi-state sufferers of attention-deficit disorder.
Now Let's Unwrap A SUKCUR
Yael is present and appears to be offering a prayer as the segment begins. Terry Riley is President of Transformation Consultants. Mary O'Halloran is a media and communications consultant....but, is she a President? Crosby Kemper is Director of the KC Library system and host of Meet The Past.
Union Station
Mr. Kemper lauds the private sector initiative which got Union Station turned around, and reviews the perils of irresponsibly throwing money at projects (which is the KC typical playbook style). Mary is "captivated" by Crosby's previous analysis of Union Station, and points out "the gravity of it's presence." In fact, gravity led to it's roof collapsing prior to renovation! Mr. Riley operates "in the black" while recalling former Mayor Cleaver's penchant for visions. Yael speaks of cockamamie schemes and obstacles.
Unofficial Police Station?
Mr. Riley reports he's talked to a lot of people, and refuses to play leapfrog. Yael has talked DIRECTLY to the Mayor, and asks, "Who was Paseo, anyway?" Mary thinks it's nice to talk about names, but doesn't really care that much! Mr. Shanin cites dramatic cost overruns as perhaps a more pertinent issue.
Yael Ostracization?
Yael reports Roberts and Brownback have swag! Does he sense the upcoming massacre of Democrats? Kemper correctly labels Orman an opportunist. Mary tells Yael what he's missing. Riley reports 4.7 percent of people choose to sit on the ground. Shanin closes this topic with a wave.
Roasts & Toasts
Crosby toasts the combination of opera and baseball. Yael roasts Brownback to a crisp. Mary toasts the unmentioned Schodorf. Terry toasts City Councilman Reed. Mike roasts the deaf Hillary Clinton for taking students tuition dollars, and searches for her mute switch.

ReplyDeleteUnion Station is dependent on Taxpayer money and subsidies. Without the Chamber of Commerce propping up the "Guestello fuzzy math" Union Station is closed in 90 days.
