Speakers at the Sleepless in the City event will include Kansas City Council members Jan Marcason, Scott Taylor, Michael Brooks and Jermaine Reed.
ReplyDeleteThose participating will include students in middle schools, high schools, colleges, worship centers and community organizations. Unlike people who actually are homeless, the participants of Sleepless in the City will be treated to outdoor movies, magic and professional storytelling.

Mom, Dad.... I got invited to Sleepless In The City, a fundraiser for the homeless. A group of us from ballet class are going to represent Pembroke.
We'll be doing activities all night and might even get to sleep for awhile in a cardboard box outside! Isn't that like totally wicked!!
I should probably get a new down jacket from Halls and maybe some of those cute Eskimo-style boots! Oh, and I've got to reload my Starbucks card so we can stay warm and awake all night.
One of the speakers, Michael Brooks, told all us girls to be sure to bring our cellphones.
I slept like a homeless person for a night and now I know what the homeless go through now I feel better about myself.
