TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! CITY HALL PRETTY MUCH PROPOSES KANSAS CITY YELLOW CAB TAXI MONOPOLY INVESTIGATION!!!

The topic of taxi service has long been a contentious subject among Kansas City residents.

Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft have exacerbated criticism of City Hall taxi policy and the Somalis have filed one lawsuit after the next arguing for more biz freedom.

Throughout the Summer, Downtown protest over "exclusive" deals have prompted Kansas City taxi industry unrest.

To wit . . .

CITY HALL PROPOSES A COMPREHENSIVE TAXI CAB INDUSTRY INVESTIGATION THAT COULD FOCUS ON THE YELLOW CAB MONOPOLY!!!

Again, a string of Downtown "EXCLUSIVE" deals and the Internets ride share ruckus have brought this dilemma to the tipping point. We've talked to Yellow Cab honcho Bill George on the topic of competitive advantage and his company's domination of the Downtown market and here's what he says:

"Private business can choose companies they do business with. Just like a hotel selects a produce vendor, linen company, etc."

Mr. George also goes on to explain that the competitive advantage held by the Kansas City Transportation Group is a result of superior service and not political collusion.

To wit . . . Here's a look at the Kansas City Taxi Industry Investigation soon underway . . .

Ordinance #140731: Directing the City Manager and the City Attorney to engage in a comprehensive process, utilizing appropriate resources including community outreach, multi-agency and multi-departmental coordination and employing appropriate City policy strategies to provide guidance to the Mayor and City Council so the City can determine if current City ordinances preserve the current diverse, vibrant and competitive transportation and taxi cab industry.

  1. Kansas City is not biz friendly TKC. That is a fact.

  2. Why do we need taxis? Transit experts Bryan stadler, sherry Dejanes and Sue burke have promised us a bus system that goes everywhere and runs all the time plus pat Touhey and Dan Coffey are working in google cars that drive themselves which we should get any day...

  3. Bill. George is a lying POS. Period.

  4. Only difference between George and Glazer is that at least Glazer did some jail time. Both those assholes are crooks, con artists, rat snitches (Yes George is a snitch to) and liars that need to be ran out of town.

  5. "The topic of taxi service has long been a contentious subject among Kansas City residents. "

I have lived in this city since 2003, and I have never heard mention of the taxi service.

    Truth, now bend it.

  6. Well you and your friends all own cars 7:27 so gee how hard was that to figure out. Or you live in a cave and never come out.

If you have lived in this town for 11 years and not known what shitty taxi service we have then you have to be one of those assholes that thinks the toy train is great or then again maybe you not heard it mentioned either.

  8. Mr. George is correct. Businesses can choose with whom they do business. However, I wasn't aware that the hotels were the ones doing business with the taxis. I thought that such transactions were between the taxi and the passenger.

  9. Investigate City Hall and The Mayor would be a better way to expend taxpayer money.

    ReplyDelete
  10. George is a master manipulator of the system plain and simple. He personifies the strategy of gaining competitive advantage through political processes - currently the easiest way to riches in America.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I like Uber. Press a button, 5 - 10 minutes later the car is here and it is a cashless transaction. Yellow Cab never shows up.

  12. City attorney will only find the answer City wants them to find. They'll never be open to diversity until they get sued; and their dumbassed attorneys lose.

  13. Mensa boy's up early and demonstrating what a high IQ can add to the conversation.

  14. What a snow job. It is not the taxi business that needs to be investigated, but rather the city of Kansas City. Why they trying to bullshit now?

    ReplyDelete
  15. 7:57 is a douchebag from Douchebagistan.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Actually, we need to quit poking fun. Apparently 7:57 had a stroke while banging his pet lamb and this is what he is reduced to.

    ReplyDelete
  17. True. It's difficult to parody someone who is already a self-parody.

  18. Hurf durfers unite!

Every1 who disagrees is russ johnson or dave johnson, or one of the 55% of residents who voted YES for a real transit system in this failing cowtown

or maybe its one of the 60% of Brooksiders who vote yes in EVERY TRANSIT ELECTION EVER

or the 52% of Waldo-ites who do!

You never know...but you can always hurf durf with your functionally retarded anony internet playmates (who, like you, live in adn come from the suburbs). Who knew rubes superpower was to breath and type on the internet while burying their heads in the sand. Thos of us with IQs over 75, whom you hurfdurftards call "mensa boy", are finally impressed by the only talent you have besides obstructionism and knee-capping "your own" city.

  19. What can one say to a self-parody?

  20. George is sort of hot. I'd blow him.
