  1. More coruption from s'Lie and the clowncil! They will use these unjust parking tickets to pay for their toy train boondoggle! Russ Johnson and his band of merry hipsters will all personally profit from these parking tickets! This is a totally undue burden on poor people who just need places to illegally park mere feet from wherever they want to go and we're not gonna take it! S'Lie will be deposed! They aren't going to enforce parking laws in this city and get away with it. Save Our GOD GIVEN right to park wherever, whenever and however we want to! Remember, the first thing they did to the Jews was ticket them for illegal parking...

  4. Ring Ring: Pet Connection, may we help you

Polar Bear: Yes, I am looking for a specially trained dog.

Pet Connection: We have many different kinds of dogs. What are you looking for in particular?

Polar Bear: I want a dog that will run up to a traffice ticket writing cop and piss on their leg.

Pet Connection: Sorry we are all out of that species.

Polar Bear: What the fuck ? Well do you have a cat that can do the same thing?

Pet Connection: Yes, we have several cats that will meet your needs.

Polar Bear: Cool. I will take all of them. Can you deliver them to the Plaza, immediately ? There is a traffic control cop writing a ticket on the Bear Benz.

  5. Hey I have an idea - let us tax walking people. Damn them saving money by not driving. Oh yeah tax bicycles and have metered parking facilities. If you are retired double tax. Tax cars by their color. I could come up with a thousand extra taxes for extra revenue. Wtf

  6. My choice is to stay in the suburbs with free, plentiful parking or go to midtown with no parking, possible tickets and the sketchy guy on the corner waiting to rob me? It's a free country (sort of) so we can all make the choice best for us and take our consequences like adults.

  7. Mensa boy is on a tear this morning. On that highly speculative 55% he likes (really likes) to quote, there's an interesting article in the latest "Reason" that shows the results of a Reason-Rupe Public Opinion Survey. It seems when Millennials are asked if they support a larger government and more services, they answer do so by a 54%-43% margin. (Close to Mensa boy's oft-repeated--very oft-repeated--55% number.) When the same group is told their taxes will increase to pay for the larger government and more services, it's a different story; support falls to 41%, and opposition rises to 57%. (Pretty close to the 60-40 actual documented vote results from the late unlamented TDD disaster.)

It seems everyone wants something until they realize they'll actually have to pay for it.
