FANBOYS EMBARRASSING KANSAS CITY?!?!

Here's one of many totally incorrect social media sentiments:

"Kansas City is the center of the sports universe for the next 48 hours."

Don't laugh, I'm trying to make a point . . .

Mainstream media is already starting to joke about how Kansas City is so desperate for sports glory that this town is celebrating a Monday night game and a mediocre playoff appearance as if it was the second coming.

A popular theme in pro sports is to "act like you've been there."

But it seems like Kansas City is quickly losing perspective on these minor sporting events amid one rally after the next and basically every newscast dedicated to sports celebration.

FACT: THREE RALLIES ARE PROBABLY TOO MUCH TO MARK A DESPERATE WILDCARD APPEARANCE AND THE MONDAY NIGHT GAME ISN'T EXACTLY THE SUPER BOWL!!!

You decide if this mania is well-deserved or if it reveals that Kansas City is acting like a bush league town and isn't quite ready for prime time.

  10. The one comment I'm tired of hearing is that this is a "once in a lifetime opportunity." People draining their savings to buy tickets for a "once in a lifetime opportunity." Is it? With a really winning team, wouldn't it be a once a year opportunity?

I tried to go out and play a game of catch with my boy at the stadium I paid for....let's just say that the security out there makes a pretty darned good open field tackle on an 8 year old.

  13. Actually, insiders suggest Oakland baseball team is more concerned about golfing than winning the game against the Royals. Shock! Royals might actually win because of a Oakland's cavalier attitude towards the game. Chiefs will lose, though.
