Children's Mercy Against Kansas City Parents Using Corporal Punishment

The growing moment against hitting or even spanking is now taking hold in Kansas City . . . Children's Mercy Hospital's No Hit Zone is part of movement urging parents not to strike their children
More interestingly . . . This clip is getting a lot of play among locals, I'm not sure if I agree (leaning toward yes) but I'll admit it's an interesting idea to think that the Ray Rice and NFL domestic abuse hot mess can be blamed on white people, I just thought it was a bunch of dickheads smacking around their relatives and loved ones. The more you know!!!

  1. Plain and simple you idiots I was spanked as a kid a few times. I learned from those spankings how acting a fool and doing wrong wasn't how to be in life. Now a spanking and a beating is two different things as well as using a tree limb on bare flesh is wrong. I had belt laid to my ass three times when I was spanked and three times you better believe it got my attention. Sure through some jeans it stung a little didn't mark me that I remember but I knew no doubt I had stepped over the line and it was as well an attack to my pride because a spanking seen to be news that get spread around the neighbourhood. And trust me wasn't the type of news you liked getting around.

I say punish your kids but don't beat your kids, their is a difference between the two. I say ground your kids as well take away what they really want for a few days to maybe a couple of weeks. We have these lack of respect issues now days because instead of being parents, parents try to be the kids best friend and that shit don't work. Parents need to be parents or hell maybe public spank their asses if they can't do right.

  2. What about corporal punishment for the administrators at Children's Mercy?

I'd say being vastly overcompensated, with largely taxpayer funds at a not-for-profit, is a crime!!!

In 2009, an advocacy group for nonprofit hospitals and other health care groups warned its members that the pay packages were coming under increasing scrutiny. "Boards would be wise to streamline their executive compensation programs to make them less tempting targets," a report prepared for the Alliance for Advancing Nonprofit Health Care stated.

The report pointed to cars, bonuses, generous retirement payouts and country club memberships as likely to attract criticism. "Many nonprofit organizations have been pressing their luck by imitating patterns in the for-profit sector," it noted.

That year, CEO compensation at the 25 largest independent children's hospitals ranged from a high of nearly $6 million to a low of $686,125, records show.

In all, CEOs collected more than $38 million, including deferred income and supplemental retirement awards, for an average of $1.5 million each.

The highest compensated CEO was Randall L. O'Donnell of Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in KANSAS CITY. The longtime executive received compensation totaling $5,987,194, records show. The figure included a special payout based on his years of service of nearly $4.1 million. Excluding the payout, O'Donnell received $1.9 million.

  5. Childrens Mercy staffed by the same group of guys that used to wear grass skirts and go around drilling holes in your head. That was before they modernized and invented electro shock therapy and operations that are now deemed worthless medically.
