There's better BBQ elsewhere and Mr. Gates chooses to spend his time playing politics rather than creating good food. You can have both but you can't have customers left with a bad taste in their mouths afterward.
ReplyDeleteNothing like 18.00 a pound rubbery brisket, served with a side of the shittiest customer service this side of the Mississippi.
ReplyDeleteThere are much better options in KC
ReplyDeleteI suppose you could get a heaping order of MSG at OK Joe's and then sweat the rest of the day away.
ReplyDeleteSad the 40hwy Gates hasn't been touched inside for 40 years. Had to degrease my shoes after being there last night!
ReplyDeleteThat place has jumped the shark with me. Last time I was there you had to tip the cooks to "Make it lean" if you didn't want a fatty beef brisket sammich. Plus like everyone keeps saying, "There is better here in KC". Good sauce and fries though.
ReplyDeleteGates never did impress me at all. And that witch who worked on state line taking your order screamed at me one day and I screamed back at her to go fuck herself rude ass cunt, I left to a round of applause.
ReplyDeleteThat place is NASTY! Bucks in the back sweating all over the food; sheboons in the front screeching like only sheboons can. No thank you!
ReplyDeletenigger Q...better Q in KC!
ReplyDeleteYa'll suck. Gates is the best.
ReplyDeleteLast beef sandwich I ate there was a literally dripping in grease. Saturated, sloppy, sopping greasy. Garbage. Plus, as others have said, an outright hostile and belligerent wait staff. I am done with Gates.
