TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! BETTER TO VOTE OR LEAVE KANSAS CITY?!?!
Like it or not, it's election time and Kansas City politicos, newsies and the elite ruling class are in panic mode.
Because TKC wants to help guide voter research and because Dead Tree Media is running out of the grant money that keeps them afloat . . .
CHECK THE KANSAS CITY BALLOT ISSUE PREVIEW TONIGHT!!!
Highlights . . . And the Saturday Night rundown . . .
MO Amendment 1 is really a referendum on corporate factory farms . . . And puppy mills.
Even better . . .
Missouri Amendment 5 Is A Quick And Easy Way To SMACKDOWN MAYOR SLY ILLEGAL GUN CONTROL . . .
Missouri Amendment: Gun Ownership an 'Unalienable Right' State Must 'Uphold'
Further down . . .
Amendment 7 is your chance to fund the Heavies and their ongoing Show-Me highway construction domination that has endured since the Pendergast days.
Amendment 8 veteran's lottery tickets just seems kinda sad and maybe a real world reminder about the sacrifices of military service.
On the much happier topic of tech . . .
The Amendment 9 Internets and Electronic Privacy clause is worth a second look . . .
And speaking of new equipment . . .
The Question 1 Fire Safety Tax deserves more time but it's hidden away on this ballot . . . Which is kinda the point that may or may not backfire.
And the inevitable . . .
KANSAS CITY INSIDERS SAY THAT A GOOD LOOK AT QUESTION A BALLOT LANGUAGE IS JUST GONNA CONFUSE VOTERS AND REALLY WORKS OUT BAD FOR TOY TRAIN SUPPORTERS!!!
Check it out, it's like a novel . . . And the extended description really is a downside . . .
Here's more comprehensive guide from a better media institution than our dead tree paper: A Closer Look At Missouri's Ballot Issues
Now . . .
KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS ANNOUNCE THAT WE COULD SEE FREEDOM, INC. DOMINATION ON THIS KANSAS CITY'S DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY BALLOT!!!
As always, the Democratic Primary ballot in Kansas City hosts all the good times . . .
This was a bit of a contentious contest but Freedom, Inc. seems prepared for another urban core coup . . . Like it or not, TKC has told readers that this group has been stepping up their game now and enjoying a bit of a Renaissance.
Frank White's ascendance to the Jackson County Legislature supported by Freedom, Inc. is just another sign of the group's winning streak.
Nevertheless . . .
ALL OF THIS ELECTION INTRIGUE DOESN'T MENTION THE FACT THAT KANSAS CITY INSIDERS AREN'T EXPECTING ANYTHING BETTER THAN 15% REGISTERED VOTER TURNOUT FOR AUG. 5TH!!!
Last time around we've had single-digit numbers but the weather should be nice and there are a few more people paying attention. Seriously, don't be surprised if politico talk about success in getting 12% of the voting public out to the polls.
Still, cross-reference these paltry voter numbers with an ongoing boom in the Northland and legacy of JoCo exodus and readers can easily see that people are voting with their feet.
Now we put the question to you . . .
IS IT BETTER TO COMPETE IN KANSAS CITY POLITICS OR SIMPLY SKIP TOWN?!?!?
When it comes to the schools, the East side urban core or any part of KCMO that isn't downtown . . . We're really talking about an exodus trend instead of an open question given the comparison to continued suburban growth and sprawl and in spite of toy train streetcar cheerleading or any other politico double speak.
And all this has inspired tonight's playlist.
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
