TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! NEWSIES @ THE PITCH SUSPICIOUS OF DISAPPEARING PAPERS FROM KANSAS CITY NEWSSTANDS FOLLOWING CONTROVERSIAL KCPD BRUNO SHOOTING REPORT!!!

Here's a fun report on a tragic topic that takes us back to the old school salad days of Dead Tree Media Journalism.

Check it:

BEHIND THE SCENES, NEWSIES @ THE PITCH ARE CRYING FOUL OVER DISAPPEARING PAPERS FROM JUST ABOUT EVERY NEWSSTAND IN MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY FOLLOWING THEIR ANTHONY BRUNO SHOOTING COVERAGE!!!

Is it a KCPD conspiracy???

Nobody knows, but I'm using/celebrating this photo of boobies to make sure NOBODY tries to use this blog post in court . . .

But for realz . . . We noticed the strange disappearance around Friday and confirmed with a text this weekend . . .

One of the few, kind Pitch newsies responded quite testily: "Yeah, they took them. We're trying to verify video of a person who recorded an unmarked car emptying out the newstands. We have license plates and so far we've been told not to pursue this when we've asked questions to sources in the Dept. But, no TKC, you're not the only one who noticed this . . . You're just going to run with the gossip, instead of waiting for our report which will be far more comprehensive."

Well, they're right about one thing . . .

TKC BLOGS IT FIRST!!!

But in the spirit of nerdy, Dead Tree Media accuracy . . .

Here's what we can verify for certain . . .

- All the Pitch newstands in Midtown Kansas City have been empty since Friday which is totally out of the ordinary given that more people check it online or follow the link through the Pitch's FB. Put simply, any given issue of The Pitch usually litters the street and coffee shops for about 2 weeks.

- It wasn't that good of an issue, in fact, our blog community seemed to agree that the story was a bit of a hit piece and it felt skeevy the way that it was timed with the lawsuit just a few hours later.

- Dead Tree Media newsies who know their history can remember AUTHORITIES TAKING OFF WITH THE PAPER actually happened a couple of times during the early 90s.

- In reality, the story didn't garner much traction via social media or on the weekly newspaper's website where people seemed more interested in music and restaurant coverage. That's why the newsstand disappearance is quizzical because the reality is that the report didn't garner that much attention from the hipsters who normally read Pitch fare . . .

Dastardly cops, stealing the Pitch ?

Wonder what else they would do/say ?

Bruno's wife is going to be a wealthy little legal eagle real soon.

Beware of the BLUE. They are not to be trusted.

  11. Probably some enterprising scrapper who figured he could make some extra cash selling paper, along with metal, copper, and whatever else his daily haul happens to be.

  12. Does it make better toilet paper than the KC Falling Star?

  13. If I was innocent I would run around town collecting papers too. Uh huh! Kind of like running from the police makes yo9u guilty?

  14. The only court I am familiar with is the Kansas City Municipal Court.

Always judges missing, bitchy prosecutors, rude clerks, long long lines that show utter disrespect for the people.

Is the the frigging court system?

  15. KC bureaucracy is the shit pit of the universe.

  16. speaking of last winter's story, why were there not masses of KC fireman rioting after the street-shooting?

  17. "Is it a KCPD conspiracy???"

Absolutely! Anything led by Daryle Forte is bound to be clouded by conspiracy. He's just dishonest. Right now, the game is "Let's make everything look perfect while under Black rule." It's just not working out too well. The list of failures in Kansas City is vast. Start with the Mayor and work down from there.

  18. I have a question: when Mr. Bruno was shot by the policeman, why didn't the Italians in Kansas City not riot? The Northeast and Gladstone should have been a battleground.

  19. The Pitch is striving for more attention. Fuck just hire Hearne again so you can fire him again but in the mean time he can flood the Pitch pages with Glazers poo poo.

  20. LOL......Glazer Goo....

  21. When the good guy gets his own blog, the Pitch will be finished.

  23. Eric Holder conspiracy.

Oh, and big foot spotted near Area 51.

Tony's bitches = dumb as dirt.

  24. When government actors suppress speech under color of law it is an actionable violation of constitutional rights. I hope the Pitch decides to sue the police who did this.

  25. I would imagine all the advertisers in that issue would be furious at their wasted money if no one saw the ads.

  26. Bruno was a "dumb dick".. He should have done what he was told to do, to put his hands behind his back. If he would've done this, then he would of had that lovely honeymoon.
