The streetcar is fully funded = the streetcar is funded on one-time discretionary federal grants, civic money dedicated for bus service and every other place that can be sucked dry along with millions and millions of public IOUs
Young creatives are attracted to transit and CK needs the streetcar to be competitive = young people go where they can find work. A 2.2 mile line has not and will not bring jobs to a downtown that's been losing them for decades.
Young people are buying cars less and cities have to adapt or be left behind = this was temporarily true, but is now a lie too as young people recover finally get jobs and recover from the great recession. If they are lower than historical sales numbers, its because its so hard for college grads with dumb degrees and oodles of student debt to find jobs that pays.
The streetcar will help the east side = the streetcar will drive up property taxes, condemn housing in favor of stack&pack apartments and force the urban poor out of their homes in favor of trendy, white hipsters.
If you think any of that bullshit they spew is true, it's because you're a moron or you're in on the scam.
Fuck the streetcar and fuck the city. They will go to the polls again and we will beat them again.
