TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDERS EVALUATE EARLY AUG. 5TH PRIMARY VOTING RETURNS!!!

Good news for our Kansas City Democracy right now . . .

FROM A FEW POLLING LOCATIONS WE'RE HEARING THAT THERE'S A SIGNIFICANT SPIKE IN KANSAS CITY VOTER TURNOUT TODAY!!!

Perspective:

Kansas City Insider: "In my experience, when a lot of people come out to a Primary. They're mad AND they're ready to vote no."

A few of you are having to wait in line during a primary race and that almost never happens . . .

Now, last night our blog community couldn't let go of the fact that new polling data suggests a 50-42 lead AGAINST the new TDD Toy Train Streetcar District. Like we mentioned earlier, most of the new found support for opposition is focused in the African-American community.

Translation . . .

WHEN IT COMES TO RAISING TAXES . . . AT THE OUTSET OF ELECTION NIGHT, IT LOOKS LIKE MAYOR SLY HAS LOST SUPPORT ON THE EAST SIDE!!!

Something to consider as the City election gets closer and an African-American female candidate could break City Hall wide open . . .

Now, we're KCMO focused but we've always got time for a sweet Kansas fact check . . .

BY ALL ACCOUNTS DR. MILTON WOLF AND HIS TEA PARTY CAMPAIGN ARE MEETING WITH A SOLID DEFEAT!!!

People just don't seem to want to be clowned on Facebook . . .

Back to 12th and Oak . . .

FRANK WHITE FANS HAVE COME OUT IN FULL FORCE TO SEND THEIR FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER TO THE JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATURE!!!

We hear it's not even close . . . 10 points easy . . . Possibly 20 if you talk to any of the last remaining Kansas City Midtown Irish.

Credit the victory to name recognition and one of the best political signs in Kansas City history.

Speaking of a sign of the times . . .

THE ONLY THING FOR CERTAIN RIGHT NOW IS THAT MISSOURI GUN RIGHTS AMENDMENT 5 HAS THE FULL SUPPORT THE STATE AND WILL SOON SMACK DOWN THE KANSAS CITY OPEN CARRY BAN!!!

Again, our blog community would like to go on record for calling out the TRAGIC AND ILLEGAL City Hall gun rights crackdown and ban . . .

Still, there's more voting to be done and we don't want to discourage anybody . . . Just because our blog community we're FIRST with the deets.

Now . . .

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR KANSAS CITY VOTING EXPERIENCE AND OR INSIGHT!!!

Parting shot . . . We hear TDD cheerleaders are bothering everybody in Midtown and opponents of the toy train have littered the streets with signs of their anti-tax hateration.

Developing . . .

  3. that fat fuck mayor and his useless city council should be ashamed of themselves, between them, KCP&L and Burns & McDonnel, black & Veah and on and on and on , they have pissed through tax payers money to push an agenda nobody wants and the winners are always the same whether it passes or not, a corrupt city and the big business who runs it. Burns & Mc. and the rest of them should be run out on a rail, its not as if the citizens of this town has benefitted in any way by all this greed.

  6. Big losses for the Chamber boys. When will they learn not to believe the political consultants when they say they can win? Didn't the translational research fiasco teach them anything? Big winners are the political consultants who make a lot of money win or lose.

  8. Prediction:

In a few short hours, Kansas City will solidify its reputation as the peer of "world class" Columbus, the 3rd coolest city in Ohio. A small cadre of middle age white people in Brookside will crow about their "grassroots" revoltion funded by a St Louis billionaire. Minneapolis, Denver, Charlotte, and other former peers will continue to grow and develop and attract jobs and resident. Kansas City will continue to depopulate, be unable to support its overbuilt sprawl and all the proises of magic buses and firehouses reopened and more police will be forgotten, as will the nieghborhoods East of Troost, who got hoodwinked.

When do we drop the balloons?

  13. Can't wait to vote that S'liar James out of office, along with anyone else who remotely supported this toy train.

Tomorrow we begin assaulting the next big tax grab by burns and Mac and S'liar James, which is the plan for a single terminal airport.

And I thought you guys were supposed to get to work on magic buses and paying for all the thing the urban core needs with the money we are saving on not having a streetcar 3/4 paid for by the state and the Feds.

      Fucking genuis!

  15. 5:18 its actually the new taxpayer subsidized hotel, but the airport is on the "done deal" list

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well 5:34, that needs to be added to the list also. And the airport is NOT yet a done deal.

I am indeed gratified that people voted - if more would vote more of the time, perhaps we wouldn't be stuck with this group of idiots in City Hall.

  17. Move to New York City 5:50. The nations largest share of public transit ridership (10%) resides there.

    Have Fun!

  22. The votes aren't in yet, but is 4:49 Mensa boy's concession speech?

And have you ever been to Columbus or Indianapolis, MB?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes, move to San Francisco or New Orleans - they have trolleys that are really quaint and move tourists around! You can even buy little souvenir streetcars for Christmas ornaments from local vendors (although they are made in China). You can just take of the little sticker that's on one of these little toy trains and put "KC Street Car" and hang it on your Christmas tree. Or Kwanzaa tree, or your menorah.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 4:11: The streetcar idea sucks, but please don't include Black & Veatch in your list of usual suspects. The vast majority of their business in international, and they don't need to involve themselves in the local hassles to get business from the city. Maybe you got them confused with BNIM.

By the way, BNIM boy seems to have gotten smart and distanced himself from the toy trolley.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Looks like Feds will need toy train money to pump back up today's tanking stock market.

  26. "And I thought you guys were supposed to get to work on magic buses and paying for all the thing the urban core needs with the money we are saving on not having a streetcar 3/4 paid for by the state and the Feds."

Isn't improving the bus system city council's job? And even if the streetcar were 75% paid for by the state and the feds, isn't that taxpayer money, too? And what about the other 25%? 25% of a wasteful trolley folly is still wasted taxpayer money.

Get to work on that Prospect MAX, which should not have needed to be voted on anyway.

You really must believe that little yellow pin makes everyone else stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 6:03 my bet is the bears turd is smarter than you.

Plus his turd is black so you can't say his turd is racist.

    ReplyDelete
  28. My, 4:49. That almost makes you want to go back to Nebraska, doesn't it? Have a good trip.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You really shouldn't badmouth cities you don't know anything about, Mensa Boy. Have you ever been east of Jefferson City?

    ReplyDelete
  30. The results should be coming in shortly. Folks, if you value your lives and cars, stay off the roads. If the vote is against the TDD, things could get ugly as a certain clowncil member has been known to take his frustrations out on other drivers.

We be out early at the Missionary Style Baptist Church running both our bus and our hearse to get the brothers and the sisters to the polls so they can vote early and vote often. This is why voter ID disseminates against people who are so parotic they want to exercise their conjugal right to vote more than once guaranteed by the jewisprudence system of this great country.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Kingfish for mayor!

    ReplyDelete
  33. The comments that the streetcar fiasco would be paid 75% by the state and the feds is all based on the come and isn't remotely true, but it shows the brain-dead point of view of the "transit" people.
We want this, it's neat and fun, and who cares who pays for it.
Until the urban futurists write new books with some nifty new ideas and new buzz words and phrases and some things that every city that "doesn't want to be left behind" just have to have.
Sell those books, boost those speaking fees, and rope in harebrained politicos looking for the next ribbon to cut.
Just one way after another to spend other people's money.

Thank you brother for your faith and support of Kingfish and I will put an IOU to Jesus for you in the collection plate. Some thieves who don't respect the house of the lord broke into the Missionary Style Baptist Church last night and got away with over $10,000 in IOUs. They will get reticulation from God for their sin.
