Given what it takes to regain ratings losses I'd say it's really bad news ahead for KMBC. They did a really nice job on the Presidential visit, but the meat and taters are at 5,6 and 10. They are starting to suck the big one where it counts.
ReplyDeleteKMBC is the only station left that hasn't de-evolved into an idiocracy styled social media juvnile carnival sideshow. So they will remain doing well in the niche they currently own and dominate.

ReplyDeleteThe meat and taters are in the morning and at 10 where the audience is and where 9 won again. Winning the 5 and 6 is fine since Dad isn't home from work yet and Mom is too busy making dinner and getting junior to soccer practice. 41 is making some nice gains given where they were but they haven't won the 10 since the Olympics (and what NBC station across the country didn't ??) and their morning numbers remain dreadful. 41 has come a long way but they have miles to go before they can sleep.

If mornings were the gravy then why the hell isn't the "A" team doing the morning shows instead of the bad news bears? Hell radio gets more morning drive listeners than TV.
