MUST READ!!! KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ DEFENDS THE RECORD OF JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR MEAN JEAN PETERS BAKER!!!

The prosecution record of Jackson County Prosecutor Mean Jean Peters Baker and her Administration has been under scrutiny as of late.

In reality, the complaints are longstanding and it's just now that Dead Tree Media is starting to pick up the story.

However, today there's an alternative perspective on a growing wave of criticism of the prosecutor's office.

Check it:

JUST NOW KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ OFFERS THIS DEFENSE OF JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR "MEAN JEAN" PETERS BAKER AND THE RECORD OF HER OFFICE!!!

The numbers are impressive and the Chief seems to be offering a broader perspective on more than a few specific complaints of leniency that have led to outrage from the public . . .

The KCPD Chief's Blog: Jackson County Prosecutor's Office gets justice for victims and families

Here's the most important quote:

KCPD CHIEF: "The Prosecutor’s office works with our detectives and officers on a daily basis to hold accountable those who commit crimes, especially violent crimes. Jackson County sends more killers to prison than any other county in Missouri. From 2009-2013, nearly 200 defendants went to prison for manslaughter and murder. That is far more than even St. Louis.

"And when someone goes to prison for a violent crime in Jackson County, the state’s own sentencing report data shows they go for a longer time than violent offenders in rural and suburban counties."

This vehement defense of the prosecutor's office might be political, in part, but it also signals some underlying support for a prosecutor's office that has clearly fallen out of favor among a great many of the city's power brokers.

  1. Chief Darryl Stepinfetchit and the spin of the day!

OMG, he must think everyone is a stupid as he is.

This is closer to the truth:

And when someone {finally} goes to prison for a violent crime {after multiple probations/years/crimes} in Jackson County, the state’s own sentencing report data shows they go for a longer time than violent offenders in rural and suburban counties.

  4. Right, and that's why its so violent to live in Kansas City, Missouri.

  5. What a load of bullshit. Ask the cops in the streets who repeatedly arrest the same perps. And for the guys going to the pen for murder? Well, duh! Everybody goes away for that. It's what they did BEFORE they go away for murder. Their rap sheets are always long and this is where Mean Jean fails. Too many serious crimes where the perp only gets probation then they eventually graduate to murder when they shouldn't have been on the street in the first place to commit that murder. They are just playing politics here and trying to dress up a pig. It's all just statistical bullshit that doesn't tell the entire story.

  10. LMFAO. Yeah with all the crime in Killa City they could send one to prison every day and there would be hundreds still on the street.

When you only clear 53% out of 116 or so murders every year that would mean there are 54 murders that go uncaught, times 5 years, that would give 270 murderers that aren't even arrested.

Sorry Chief Footloose. You are a epic failure in Killa City.

  24. "Jackson County sends more killers to prison than any other county in Missouri."

Well yeah, Chief. But Jackson County HAS more killers than any other county in Missouri, right?

    ReplyDelete
  25. If Forte defends that record it can only mean he is getting a little of it on the side. I sort of figured her for liking dark meat.

  26. Low functioning pair.

  27. It is an inconvenient truth: cities where the Blacks control city hall, the police (polelease) and the schools are cities in decline with violence, corruption, chaos and poverty. That is not a racist statement, that is the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Facts don't lie.

Chief Forte and Ms. Peters do!

    They're both incompetent.

Both a result of affirmative action promotions, not based on merit.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The chief knows St Louis city isn't a county, right? Its not in a county. So he might want to study a map before attempting to skew facts. Two, he is okay with a guy who t boned one of his own officers and nearly killing the officer, he is okay with that criminal getting a slap on the wrist for flipping a police van on Paseo a few years ago during a police chase? The guy was just sentenced a few months ago. The police have all but given up enforcing the laws. What's the point when you have a spineless criminal Justice system?
