KANSAS CITY TRANSIT ACTIVIST CLAY CHASTAIN PROPOSES COMPROMISE!!! INSIDERS WORRY ABOUT TOY TRAIN TAX INCREASE BALLOT ISSUE SWITCHEROO!!!

Like it or not, Clay Chastain is correct in his concerns regarding the questionable ballot language in a poorly worded election issue devised by Mayor and Council.

Moreover . . .

KANSAS CITY INSIDERS WORRY: SHOULD VOTERS UNWITTINGLY PASS THE CLAY CHASTAIN TAX INCREASE . . . THE CASH COULD BE USED TO FURTHER FUND THE TOY TRAIN STREETCAR GIVEN THAT THE DESIGNATIONS ON THE BALLOT ISSUE ARE SO VAGUE!!!

Kansas City mainstream media have yet to report that Clay Chastain is proposing a compromise rather than putting this strange language before voters . . . So far he hasn't heard anything back.

Check his latest message to City Hall:

Proposed Compromise Ballot Language

Mayor James and the City Council are refusing to pass the City Law Department's Resolution #140 (See attachment "draft resolution") that would commit the City to using two initiative taxes (Now Ballot Question's #1 & #2 on the November 4th ballot), if approved by voters, for the light rail-based transit system outlined on the light rail initiative petition signed by 4,000 KC voters.

The City can inform voters what they will use the taxes for by resolution.

The City would be acting in extremely bad faith, if they refuse to pass Resolution #140 and inform the KC electorate what project the City would use the new taxes for ($1.0 to $1.5 billion in revenue over the next quarter of a century), if approved by voters.

This absurd and untenable position by Mayor James and the City Council is not only bad government gone cuckoo, but also shows Mayor James' contempt for the KC electorate!

The Light Rail Initiative Committee of Petitioners and myself demand Mayor James and the City Council pass City Resolution #140 at next Thursday's council session. We are all tired of Mayor James' non-transparency, voter manipulation, and disgraceful acting mayoral administration.

Our campaign, and probably the community itself, wants to turn the page on the government's egregious mishandling and manipulation of this light rail initiative petition. Rather, we want to begin postulating to the voters why the Light Rail Initiative plan will make a better Kansas City for the people.

  4. Oh, it's a compromise alright. The voters will get fucked and then compromised into thinking it's fine, just fine. This sort of shit happens all the time but more often when niggers are at the helm.
