EVERYBODY AGREES: JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR JEAN PETERS BAKER IS GONNA HAVE TO GET A NEW JOB!!!

This powerful Jackson County courthouse lady has proven to be one of the worst prosecutors in recent memory . . .

Dead Tree Media provides the latest example amid a litany of complaints:

Jackson County shows too much leniency for violent criminals

Sadly, we're not sure this lady has ANY defenders and while our bloggy community has compiled complaints from cops on this subject for more than a year . . . Even politicos are starting to complain about her now . . . And so the political ambitions of this lady might soon be out of the question.

  1. Well, we saw how Jason Kander feels about her with his little bishop Tindall deflection.

  2. The whole criminal justice system in Jackson County is an unprofessional mess, including Peters-Baker's operation, the laughably incompetent public defenders' office, court administration, and all the rest.
After being called to account for being too lenient and lazy with murderers, instead of actually trying to fix the operation, all they'll do for a while is try to show how "tough on crime" they are, and then go right back to the same sloppy mess it's been.
The whole place is based on the idea that no one is watching because nobody cares.
Just another reason to live somewhere else in the metro.

  3. Plea deals are a lot easier than trials. And when the criminal is just another gang banger who only robs and kills other poor blacks then why should she care? So then the cops don't care either. Then the people in the community start settling scores on their own. Then you have Killa City.

  4. There's no place to put them.

It's not the prosecutor's job to build jails to house the people her staff convicts.

    Therefore your argument is flawed.

  5. It is not the prosecutor's job to determine who gets a walk based on jail space. If that is indeed happening then the presiding judge better take notice.

  9. It has always been a problem in JaCo, even when Sanders was running the show. Mean Jean just happened to be the one in the crosshairs right now.

The problem is that "community activists" (you know who they are) push and push and push for leniency for felons, many whom are relatives, friends, homies, etc. Prosecutors cave for lesser offenses to keep their conviction rate at 99% -- then, no surprise, said felon who was given a light sentence kills someone.

Want change, then call BS on the "community activists" who cry wolf against the 'racist' criminal justice system.

  10. There was a group of kids in our neighborhood caught breaking into houses and when they were caught they had stolen guns on them. They were arrested. Guess what? The next day they were back out on the streets breaking into houses again. Frustrating.

  11. This is about the inherent racism of the county's so-called criminal justice system. Here's how it works.

Trials are time-consuming and very expensive. Officialdom sees them as a court-clogging waste of money when most of the customers are only poor black thugs who mostly kill other poor black thugs. Therefore, use plea bargaining to avoid trials: knock the charges down low enough to get a guilty plea, with the bad guy understanding that he'll be rewarded for his cooperation by being handed the keys to the city.

You, the law-abiding taxpayer, appreciate this because it keeps taxes from being raised. Besides, every prison, public or private, is full, and building more of them is expensive, too.

The only catch is that over time, this system causes violent crime to spread over the entire city, even to places like Westport and the Plaza, where the person unfortunate enough to stop the bullet may not be just another poor black thug.

We have a solution for that. We call it Prairie Village.

  14. I agree 834, Prairie Village is safe because the cops will catch you in the act and the prosecutor will do his job.

  15. This woman makes Al Reider look tough and we all know he was the biggest pansy ass to ever hold a prosecutors office.

  17. Fun Fact -- Most any city or county dominated by Democrats is crime ridden and corrupt.

  18. Lawyer's don't last long in any profession. They are wayward, empty souls that unless there's a big case or politically charged case, there is no reason for their existence. A good number of lawyers simple practice Workcomp, Bankruptcy and Family law. Asking a lawyer to think deeply is like asking a newborn to drive a car. It will never work. Hence, Mrs. Baker's need for a new job.

  19. Our family is awaiting the trials of thugs sitting in Jackson county jail (over a crime that should have both heading to prison...do not pass go). After reading the Star's 2 part series, I'm scared to death that they will be given probation, and back out on the street. Unbelievable...what is wrong with these people....

  21. Play it Safe Sanders will do what he always does and chicken out of a statewide run for AG and settle for being what he thinks will be County Executive for Life until someone challenges him and he's beat like his buddy Charlie in St. Louis. Scandals with early jail releases, mismanagement of COMBAT funds, coverups and payoffs of sex scandals involving his best bud Sheriff Mike Sharp and labors growing unhappiness with his double dealing and outright lying will result in County Executive Frank White. In the meantime Jean will become the annionted candidate for Attorney General even though it means she can't run for reelection. Sadly she will quickly discover that she is despised in the African American community from KC to St. Louis and that without it she will become another defense lawyer working deals with her former staff. Keep an eye open for Tarwater to install one of his pals as the next Prosecutor. Dan is the man in Jackson County.

  22. Can you imagine the howls of raaaacism, the t-shirt and candle marches, if she prosecuted all the criminals, regardless of color? What would happen in Jackson County if you went to jail on your 1st provable felony?

Why shes an Advocate for those types and soft on Crime - don't think she doesn't eat at the same restaraunts and bars as those Judges often,,, and discuss things !
Typical Democratic Goon Liberal, soft on Crime, tell lies, spin the Facts, lie some more , its their mentality !
Don't forget , if you like your plan you can keep it leader !
I'll give ya all free phones for voting for me / Obama phones , see where that got them ????
These Democratic Liberals like Jean Peters and Sly James would see their own mother for a vote, its their Skewed Mentality !!!

  25. Obama phones? You mean the Lifeline program started in 1984 by the Rragan administration?

  28. Sanders has an opponent. You pussies that bad mouth him should write Brice Stewart a check.

  29. Yes, so he can know who you are and spend the next 4 years figuring our ways to fuck you over.

  30. Sanders can be one mean nasty SOB.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sanders will get what's coming to him. Just like Sherwood Smith.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The amount of corruption going on with Baker, Sanders and Sheriff Sharp is out of control. They are all one big organized crime faimly in Jackson County. If you don't give
them what they want, they will come after you like the mafia. Sharp has always wanted to
own his personal police department. But when you pay a lot of money too the wright people, you really can own your personal security/police department. And now we know why there is so many deputies working off duty at bars. Sharp and Sanders gets their pockets full of money and the bars don't get tavern disturbance.
