Celebrate This Week's Pitch Hit Piece On Bruno Case Judge Bryan Round

Again, the latest report from The Pitch isn't causing a great stir but it was sent my way by a lawyer who seemed interested . . . So, I'm linking . . . The article advocates that a judge recuse himself from a conflict of interest in the KCPD Bruno shooting case . . . TKC FACT: People don't really get into the sausage-making of the courtroom as much as attorneys and newsies would like to believe . . . And, I'm sorry, the story of the initial confrontation covered by TV News was captivating but for some reason a great deal of the aftermath just seems to me like lawyers feeding a newsie their case-file which is only fun when it happens on this blog because we write it up much more SEXILY...

You decide:

Judge Bryan Round is a lot like former Police Board defender Bryan Round

Translation . . . Can we all stop pretending that "journalism" isn't anything more than a series of tips from more powerful people . . . Dave Helling, we're all looking at you. And smiling.☺

  1. Sounds like a complaint to the Missouri Commission on Retirement, Removal, and Discipline of judges is in order. Outrageous.

  2. This is all starting to really stink here. But then the whole thing as stunk ever since that night. Pitch is just seeking reason to raise cost of ads

  3. Really fun to watch when Tony (a guy who doesn't report anything, just dutifully types up whatever boring gossip his pathetic sources feed to him for their own personal gain) tries to knock good reporting like this Pitch story.

"TKC Fact: People don't really get into the sausage-making of the courtroom as much as attorneys and newsies would like to believe" -- Tony, who ten minutes later posts boring gossip about Jackson County Legislator Crystal Williams *maybe* facing a challenger.

Fuck you, Tony. Why? Because you are so dead on the money. It's true. Source: I'm a reporter.

  6. Bottom line- this judge has violated canons of judicial ethics, badly and egregiously, and he should be held accountable. I would hope that those attorneys close to thie case will do their ethical duty and report this behavior.

  7. @ 9:35.... some of the so called douche bags that comment on TKC are more qualified to "report" than most of the Falling Star reporters.

What a fucking joke. Print media in Killa City is like reading on of el Bryans cartoons while taking a shit. When your thru, at least you have something to wipe your ass with....unless your a "knuckle dragging, tree monkey", then is wipe and sling.

  8. Attorney's? Watching the JUDGE? Bahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Hint: ever wonder why certain attorneys, especially in eastern Jack, seem to always get good deals?

    I mean, REALLY good deals?

Is it just because they are all like F. Lee Bailey?
