SHOCK!!! DEAD TREE MEDIA FIGHTS WITH FREEDOM, INC. OVER KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR RACIAL POLITICS!!!

Very smart . . . Dead Tree Media starts a fight with the biggest Kansas City Political Action Committee on the East Side in their quest to push the toy train. Check it:

Freedom Inc. tells despicable lie on streetcar vote

Here's the damage of the unsigned editorial (that's filed under Barb Shelly's hyperlink structure for web geeks who check that kind of thing):

This will go over great . . .

"The political club Freedom Inc. has pulled out the race card and a package of outright falsehoods to oppose Question A, the vote to create a transportation district that eventually could provide part of the funding for an expansion of Kansas City’s streetcar network as well as a bus rapid transit line on Prospect Avenue."

On the other hand, The Kansas City Star is giving the ABSOLUTE FALSEHOOD OF THE LINWOOD TOY TRAIN LINE serious consideration . . .

TKC Perspective . . .

WHEN DEAD TREE MEDIA STARTS PLAYING RACIAL POLITICS . . . THINGS ARE GETTING DESPERATE FOR TOY TRAIN STREETCAR SUPPORTERS!!!

Developing . . .

  1. So lying in favor of the streetcar is okay and gets a pass...

  2. So what's the shock? Niggers lie, they always lie, it's one of the many charming things niggers do...

  4. When they fire Barb Shelley and Yael the Fael, I may start purchasing and reading the KC Star again.

This mailer is right-on, and the streetcar is about to go down in FLAMES.

  5. The KC Star doesn't anything about the truth. They only print what the Civic Council and the Chamber of Commerce want.

  6. When white Brookside complained they were let out but the Eastside had to stay. That is racism.

  7. 3:04 FTW! The Star sucks - Barb Shelly's little whiny piece is just another shining example of their suckage.

Freedom is right on this one.

  8. Babs believes a streetcar line would entice businesses to Linwood and Independence Ave.

I mean, that's just mentally ill right?

  9. Kind of comes off like someone stuck a cattle prod up her ass or one of the bosses was standing over her holding a gun to her head.

    "Get writing sweety"

  10. Streetcar supports played the race card first when they lied about Brookdiers being racists when trying to sell the streetcar plan to the East side. East side isn't stupid, and Freedom Inc. isn't lying when they warn that this plan is being funded on the backs of poor black people.

Virtually everything undertaken by this group resembles this modus operandi. It's a wonder why anybody pays any attention to this group. They are loud when they should be silent and silent when they should be marching on Washington. This group cannot get its act together. We'd all be better off if the group would cease to exist.

  12. Any means to achieve the end is fine with me (the end being the END of this streetcar bullshit), even if this flyer may be technically incorrect in some areas.

    NO STREETCAR!!

  13. Opposition must have finally seen the poll numbers. I almost feel bad for them. All that outside money and this was the best they could come up with. Maybe they missed the part where the overwhelming majority of black voter support the streetcar, then again, they didn't get bought off by Rex's water boy and Jim Nutter. They'r ejust regular people that use transit and understand how nice it would be to have better transit on Linwood, Independence Avenue and Prospect, and how good of a deal it is to get:

64% of the project BUILT ON THE EAST SIDE.

90% paid for by the feds, the state (finally) and the West side tax base.

  14. Hey, 4:19PM.

Maybe you missed the memo, but Freedom Inc isn't a white organization.

  15. 4:19

The federal highway fund is teetering on the brink of insolvency, the modot tax will fail and the boondoggle will continue to be paid for by public IOUs to be paid back by hapless CK taxpayers.

Barbie and you seem to think a magic wand will be waved and billions of dollars will appear from thin air. That's never going to happen.

If you would like to live in a town with transit oriented development, I suggest moving to Brooklyn like your boy Caleb.

  16. 4:19: Why must the east side vote for a MAX when the KCATA was able to start the Main Street and Troost MAX routes without a vote?

    ReplyDelete
  17. 4:19 you are just a plain, garden variety "FOOL".

  18. These tactics are necessary due to the fact this town no longer has a investigative reporter or a major news paper with any credibility. We have to turn to blogs, community papers for the truth. The electioneering and legal manovering that went on is disgusting. The Star never reported or investigated any of it. The voter suppression and red lining by our own Mayor is down right sickening.

    Vote NO! On streetcar

  19. Barbara Shelly = BS, VOTE NO

  20. 5:21 PM Yes it is. Their agenda reinforces the white perspective. Same difference.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 6:28 PM FTW!!!
Hits the nail on the head. Main & Troost Max also used federal dollars with no public vote.
