Our TKC BLOG COMMUNITY KICK-ASS INSIDERS sent a really nice look of the biggest/most important concert in Kansas City this year.

Obviously, they were closer than any of you d-bags and have the front row pix to prove it

Here's the review that gets right to the point . . .

"Paul McCartney last night was mind blowing! 3 ovations and still no one left the arena!

He was unbelievable! BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!"

More in a bit . . .

My God can you imagine the societal net gain would sinkhole have opened up and swallowed those thousands of Boomers in one fell swoop?

Corrected headline: Paul McCartney gives Sprint Center crowd a show for the aged

  9. He's great and at 72 can outwork and outlast most kids for three hours non stop on stage.

  10. No thanks. I will pay to look at a kid. Not some ancient old fuck like him.

  11. @1024, yep many of today's musicians will be filling the Sprint 30 years from now.

One of the subthemes of the tone of this blog is, if it does my immediate need for gratification, its of no use. Very little regard for anything that the BIG I wants.

I can't bear classical music for more than an elevator ride. But I can appreciate the fact Thay people perform it hundreds of years after its composed. And some of my best friends like it, so what the hell.

Not allways understanding of others, but I fell better when I try.

    2 cents worth.

  12. Damn I can not believe a non-gay. non-rap artist got an honourable mention on the KC Democratic TKC blog.

  13. 1103. Most people here would find humor in an old person falling out of a wheel chair. More if they were black. And if female, laughter and a comment from the cum rape guy.

  15. Paul's always been cool. Youngers who don't know that just weren't raised well. Typical of this generation that doesn't know shiT!

Like so many humans this generation never learned to respect the accumulated knowledge of their ancestors. So let them just figure out wisdom for themselves, stupid people! Maybe we adults shouldn't bother trying to teach them what we've learned--they just don't wanna know!

  16. Nice thing about having his kind of money means you don't give a shit about the opinions of Tony and his posse.

Come to think of it, I don't give a shit about the opinions of Tony and his posse and I drive a 2001 Toyota.

  17. hey 9:24, get off your fucking high horse. you'll be singin' the same tune when YOUR younger generation says the same thing about your saggy, tatted ass.

what part of that do you not understand? 'cause I'm sure you're probably missing something.

  18. Four score and 300 years ago some stupid ass Italians sailed around the Horn of Africa, went on shore, loaded a troupe of negros on their ship and sailed for the New World (whats now Swoope Park) and thus began the infamous run of the Troost Avenue Taliban aka, "Hoodisrattis Urbanis".

My fellow Americans, our great nation has fallen under the cloud of the "black moon crickets" evil swarm. Sweeping across this land, from sea to shining sea, like a tsunami of epic grander.

Let us unite to stamp out this evil " moon cricket" invasion before it's too late. Stamp out this evil "moon cricket". Stamp them out now.

  22. Glazer can't even fill his pants

  23. Mark David Chapman got the wrong Beatle.

    ReplyDelete
  24. But Glazer can sure fill his own diaper! He will need to get passes from the nursing home soon himself when he goes on his pistachio pudding outings.

  25. Ha! So true about Chapman.

You're showing your generational bias old man!

Analogy: Let's say that back in your youth (high school/college) you were an outstanding athlete. I'm talking record breaker, All-State, MVP, etc.

Well, that was 50 years ago!

But, for you, those years were the BEST! As a result, you still like to put on your school letter jacket and talk to anyone who'll listen about all your greatest sports exploits.

Only problem is, most people see an old man wearing an old letter jacket reliving his glory days. There not interested, and actually kind of feel sorry for the guy who's still living his life in the past!!

  27. McCartney's always given good concert, and there are PLENTY of BOOMERS who like the fabulous creativity of the 60s.

IF 94.9 doesn't want to acknoledge that and put their sales people on selling upscale cars, vacations, investments... all the stuff we who have accumulated MONEY... well that's their problem.

Today's radio seems only focused on low paid younger listeners. We olders with lots of money to spend require a different Rolodex list. Ignore it and MISS US. WE are reached in OTHER MEDIA, if not yours!! Radio isn't at all the only medium to reach us. Which is why you don't program to us and why we don't LISTEN!

Yes, our radios may be on, but it's all trash. 60s-70s music is only dead because you don't recognise us. We buy it outside radio...and our advertisers reach us elsewhere. YOUR BAD! Thank good for technology beyond what you can deliver.

Ain't free enterprise GRAND? Put another way, if you are stupid, the marketplace just works around you.

XM. Data without the loud car commercials. NPR softer, more interesting. I think other markets include us better than this one. And its YOUR lost opportunity. If there was EVEN ONE decent station to reach us babyboomers, I think you'd be SOLD OUT.

But your younger manager doesn't have that vision! They don't care about their parents...and they are foolish indeed! We will spend our wealth accumulation elsewhere and leave them holding NONE of our 60s and 70s wealth!

Yup, McCartney was pretty cool. But how can you turn that into money? Dumb asses! ANd you wonder why we pay no attention to your arrogant but youthful
views! Americans were much more respectable about wisdom long ago.

I think Ill donate my accumulation to CHARITY who will use it more wisely!
    !
