Request To Release Dash Camera Video From the Marcus McGowen Shoot Out
Greetings Police Chief Pat Kitchens:
I hope this correspondence finds you in good spirits. First, let me say that my sympathies are with you and your officers in dealing with the terrible tragedy of witnessing a slain child, while trying to protect the public. My name is Alonzo Washington and I have been a activist and child safety advocate in the greater Kansas City area for over 3 decades. I started my journey to make a difference when I was in my teens.
During my journey I have been successful in assisting various law enforcement agencies in solving a large amount of murders and crimes. High profile cases like the Precious Doe/Erica Green and Renee Pernice cases, to low and no profile murder cases that no one would recall. As a outspoken activist I encourage the public to give tips and I use social media to get the community active in fighting crime. I was the first person in the metro area to use social media to address crime. Now it's a common thing that all law enforcement agencies do.
My task is very difficult because many people in the general pubic don't trust law enforcement. That sentiment is ten times greater in urban communities as it relates to Africa Americans. Doubt and mistrust is building in the community due to the fact that the suspect is African American and the explanations of the events has varied. When citizens from any community doubts a Police Department, crime fighting is hindered. Tips to solve future crimes become harder to obtain and the Kansas City metro suffers.
Currently, its not clear how Cadence Harris was killed. It's not even clear if Marcus McGowen fired his gun at the police or if his bullets killed Cadence Harris. For the sake of clarity & transparency I am requesting that your department release the dash camera video of this tragic event so that the citizens of the metro understands fully what happened during this horrible tragedy. I have a strong feeling that Mr. McGowen's bullets did not kill Cadence Harris. If that turns out to be the case, I would also request that the Leavenworth Police Department review and change it's chase policy of suspects with a child or chidren in a vehicle so that this won't happen again. Please respond to my requests at your earliest convenience. Please review the following information regarding my advocacy.

ReplyDeleteWhile Alonzo the Caped Negro Crusader Crime Fighter forwards his self embelished resume to public officials, the Polar Bear agrees that the dash cam video should be released.
While the Bear is not versed in criminal law, perhaps one of our more esteemed collegues could provide some insight as to whether or not it would be proper for L/E to release before trial.
As for Alonzo, the Caped Negro Super Hero of Crime Fighting, Zo, we are resurfacing some of the paths around the Zoo and could utilize some of that recycled oil you are utilizing on you dome. We can send a tanker over to the KCK hood at your convenience.

1. You don't need a dashcam video.
If you know the case as well as most media, you would know there are other ways to get information. You could talk to people on metropolitian street. You could talk to the people that were working the grounds at the big house. You could talk to the people at the steakhouse. You could talk to the people at the training center up the hill. There are people in the town that saw the whole darn thing. The whole town heard it on the police scanner. But see, Alonzo won't get off his ass and go talk to anybody.
See, here's the other thing. This is a small town. People here know each other. If Alonzo comes in and acts hostile no one will tell him anything. His angry black man act won't fly around here because that doesn't work in rural kansas. The EMS and first reponders aren't going to talk to anyone, local or not. Do not ask the people from the hospital or other cops because people are all messed up about this. The doctors who do the medical exams for sure aren't going to say anything. Also, I hate to bust his little racism party, but no one cares about this guy outside of the internet.
2. I can't say too much, but not all police cars have dashcams, dumbass. Even if there was a dashcam it would not show what alonzo wants to see. The car was over in the crime scene area for many days. Anyone with half a brain could have gone over and looked at the car and clearly seen what happened. However, this would require alonzo to get off his ass and go drive somewhere.....somewhere 70 miles from his bully comfort zone. He would then have to interact with people that don't know him and don't like his aggressive routine. He could also go hang out around KU med. People there talk like crazy even though they aren't supposed to. He could go hang out there...but then again, that requires friends. I am pretty sure this guy has none. Do people have personal cameras...oh yes, yes they do. Do people want to personally kick this guys ass for driving into Leavenworth at speeds of over 120?? oh yes, yes they do. This is a heavy traffic area and he could have killed someone. But see... this would require real journalism skills. An effort on his behalf.

Yes, your short-ass even has a bad rep even in B.F.E. like Leavenworth and Atch. I wouldn't have sent this letter because it seems like he is a lookie-loo. If you ever took a media class you would know this. Also, this is an on-going investigation. They can't say anything. As someone who works in media and knows how these things usually go, the Leavenworth PD is being very open. I honestly didn't expect much out of these people, but they are very open. There is no over up here, because half the town saw what went down. Look, the guy is not from Leavenworth, so no one know, nor do they care about his background and personal history.
Mental illness is very scarey thing for people, combine that with a physical disorder and some issues from birth and you got a problem. Look, some people are functional in society but they have scrambled brains. The guy was nice enough but had brain problems..impulse, thought and control issues. He was a good person who struggled with a rotten past.
Does the mother set everyone in the media's bullshit detectors off? Oh yeah, this lady is not quite right. Look at the video. She had just been to the funeral home. She had on perfect eyeliner. She had no makeup smears. She looked pretty goood, too good, for someone who had just seen a dead body. She seemed to act like she still loved the killa. My B.S. detector was going off all over the place, I about wanted to drop my camera. Watch her eye roll. Listen to how she says her dead daughters name. The footage says it all. Oh, FYI, she is still living with the killas family in atch.
I do not know why the little girl is having a funeral in Leavenworth, she is not from Leavenworth. No one in this town knows these people, but for a few drunks.
